Hello Friends Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I really had a lovely time off. We were very busy on most days, but also managed to do some hard core relaxing. Yesterday I had an "all day in PJs day" which I almost never do. It was amazing!

We went to a family wedding on Saturday, which was... interesting... The bride's family (including her 4 grown children) completely disapproved, so they showed up, but basically boycotted everything. They sat at their own table, refused to speak to anyone, and left after about an hour of the reception. Awkward! I can't imagine wanting to hurt someone so publicly like that. ******** Oh well--our side of the family had fun--we danced all night :)

Accountability: This week was pretty terrible. I know the last time I was on here, I was crying about feeling fat (...and lord knows seeing myself in pics from the wedding did not help!), but I still didn't pull myself together. I guess I will be one of those "New Years' Resolution" people after all.

QOTD: What is your favorite go-to kitchen appliance? We got an air-fryer for Christmas, and we are having fun experimenting. If anyone has any good low carb/high protein recipes, send them along, please :)

Back to work, which I hope means that I am back into a routine and can get back to cutting out the crap, again. I'm definitely going to get my ass on the elliptical machine today, too :)

Good morning!! I jinxed myself when I said I've been healthier since WLS than before, I had a head cold and am whiny -- sore throat and a mouth breather, ugh.

I FINALLY WON at our Cards Against Humanity tournament!! I am officially the most horrible person in my friend group and I am so proud!! I've been trying to win since 2013. I also finally saw the new Star Wars (loved it) and went indoor sky diving and to an early New Years party so great weekend inspite of the crud.

Outside of that, all is good -- short week as I'm only supposed to work today and tomorrow...but I see my boss has a meeting set for Thursday so I might call into that.

QOTD - My electric kettle was the best appliance I ever added but I do like my instant pot, Keurig and air fryer. My favorite thing in the air fryer are the "poppers" from Real Good Foods, they crisp up so nicely.

Menu today is a bit up in the air, think I'm going to focus on wet, soothing things so it might looks something like this

Coffee + half and half times 3 and then lots and lots of tea.

B - cin raisin cottage cheese

L - 4 oz ever roast deli chicken, 1 slice cheddar

D - maybe some bacon

ES - PP Vanilla with eggnog seasonings

I've noticed the pumpkin L&F is getting hard to find so I'm wondering if they are about to launch the next seasonal - hoping to see Creme Brulee back on the shelf!

Have a great Monday everyone!

I'm hoping they'll bring the creme brulee back, too! I even emailed the company last year to tell them how much many of us at OH love it and hope they'll make it one of their permanent flavors. Alas, they didn't listen. Hopefully they'll give us another chance!

Oh no, feel better!

Funny story--I was talking to my mom this morning... apparently after the wedding, she and the nieces and nephews played Cards Against Humanity... I CANNOT IMAGINE THIS SCENE. My mom does not have a "cards-against--humanity sense of humor" at all. I could actually hear her blushing through the phone. All she would say is... "I didn't win". Lol. No kidding.

Lol, that's so funny!! It's such a fun game but only with the right people. I refuse to play with my nephews because I would be so embarrassed!!

Yep, definitely not her type of humor. But she would be in the lead for anything that involves kittens & china patterns!
