Those are beautiful London photos. I have a memory of getting off the underground and taking a walk past Buckingham palace late one night and looking at those beautiful lights. I also love to look at it from the air when you fly into London in the early morning. What a great hotel view that would be.
I make traditional New Year's resolutions, always having to do with diet and exercise. The gyms are always crowded the first week of January and there is always a long line at Weigh****chers.
I remember some witty person saying that he thought about starting a gym on January 1 and then converting the building to a bar in time for St Patrick's Day. By March 17, most people have gone back to eating and drinking instead of exercising.

Thank you! I think that's a great gym/bar idea, lol. It's true that people have trouble sticking to resolutions for sure!

Mornin' All!
we're headed down to Chicago this morning for a long weekend with some of my cousins. A lot of the downtown hotels have super great deals because pretty much no one is traveling to Chicago this week (which means no big conferences, either). My one cousin planned this back in October- I was a little worried about the weather given the timing, but it turns out this will be a GREAT weekend weather-wise for it. YAY!
I was brave and stepped on the scale this morning. UGH. Yesterday was a good day calorie-wise and exercise-wise, but the couple of days before have caught up with me. I'll need to really watch it this weekend. It'll be hard with the restaurant eating, but at least I can vow to eat reasonably and not stuff my face with unhealthy crap. I definitely don't need to gain any more weight!
QOTD: I rarely make New Year's resolutions because I never keep them for long, but this year I'm going to really work at staying on plan - this holiday season has been tough. I also picked up on my exercise a week or two ago - I plan to continue that in the new year.
4.5 years out:
B: cottage cheese "mousse" with raspberries (cottage cheese with added protein powder, unsweetened cashew milk, Splenda, and cocoa powder, whipped in the blender), coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: not sure. I'll take a protein bar just in case (in fact, I'll pack two or three for the weekend)
D: my uncle made reservations at a French restaurant. Not sure which one, or I'd check the menu. Something "safe" for sure!
not sure if I'll get a chance to post this weekend, so if I don't, have a great weekend, everyone!

Happy Friday all!! I stayed out way too late last night at my brother and his girlfriends new house with our cousin. We had dinner and played board games all night. It was fun, but I woke up exhausted and with a horrible headache. Ugh! I also think there is something wrong with my scale because there is no way I was stalled at the same weight for weeks right before Christmas and after not eating the way I should over Christmas and weighing for the first time in two days this morning that I'm down three pounds. If anything I should have gained. I'm not complaining, but I'm afraid to trust the scale right now! Lol. Today I'm back on track with eating though! I am back home now so I have no temptations here like I did at my moms with all of the sweets she has lying around. It always made me sick how some people like my brothers girlfriend can eat like a couple slices of cake, pie, a whole pint of ice cream etc. and stay so thin! While all I have to do is look at some ice cream and I gain ten pounds!
QOTD: I don't really do New Years resolutions. However, if I were to make one this year it would be to get back on track with eating and exercising.....which starts today!
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: L&F yogurt w/banana
D: I have leftovers from Christmas dinner, but I think I'm having something light like a protein bar or another shake since I'm not feeling too great today and don't have much of an appetite.
