Whats on your menu Thursday 12.26.19
hey yall starting out today- Myself and 2 others are 'holding down' the fort today at work. had to drive up to Chattanooga house last night- unpacked, and went to gym before I lost all motivation. didn't complete my full workout but did do this fun bike that is like a game. I guess a lower version of peloton? and a hydro massage after lifting. I'm going to make that part of my daily routine (the massage)
Made a few decisions yesterday including lowering my macros a bit and going to the gym more. on my non lifting days, I will walk the track or do bike. I'm thinking I will do this first thing in the morning as its super hard to do after work and then I'm not motivated.
I made a turkey breast for Christmas with mushrooms and green beans for me. DH had potato and green beans.
QOTD: any goals you are working on? Mine is to continue to have a better relationship with food. this is BY FAR the best I've done in the last 6 months or so though I have still gained weight- just at a much lower speed than earlier in the year. so this is positive and I'm proud of myself for it.
Food for today: been up since 5:30- ate protein pancakes so far and coffee and water.
I packed turkey and zucchini and homemade spag sauce and cottage cheese and chicken.
Mornin' All!
well yesterday was BAD. I managed to inhale more calories than I have since I was pre-op. We're not even discussing how many. I still have half a lasagna left over, which hopefully the crew will gobble up tonight (I'm planning to eat deli turkey slices for dinner (in some capacity)), but at least it's in my house where there are no goodies lying around. THAT is what killed me yesterday. If I'd just had breakfast and lunch and lasagna & salad for dinner, I would have been fine. But N-O-O-O-O...
So today I am starting back on my eating plan in earnest, staying within my maintenance range (if not slightly under), and exercising.
QOTD: my goal is to lose 10 lbs. But I'll start with five lbs since that'll take me long enough - and should be do-able, right??

Working on morning coffee with miralax and creamer. I have no plan for food today. I am going to attempt protein forward, fluids, etc. but I am in stuck in holiday mode and errands to run. Partner has been on vacation so my schedule has been really fluid. I do better on a schedule if I am honest.
I have a GI surgery scheduled for next week and I am thinking my goals are to be well hydrated in hopes of less i.v trauma and once that is done I will be able to hopefully get into a more normal, focused routine and partner will be back into their work routine after the first week of the new year.
Wishing Everyone Happy Holidays and thoughts of "hang in there" and "do the next thing", lol... sounds like we are all there in one shape or fashion
Good morning menu friends! Hope you had a great Christmas and got to spend time with those you love. We went to the in laws both Tuesday night for the big meal and yesterday. Did good Tuesday but yesterday I ate way too much junk(potato chips and cookies--2) . Apparently I will never learn! Miss Lily and I have our 3.5 miles in though and today is off to a good start . We'll walk at least another mile after supper too. Weight today is 120.8. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c loaded potato soup D 4 oz baked salmon S if needed L&F yogurt shared with Miss Lily of course! Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!
This was our first Christmas without my mom. It was tough but we got through it.
QOTD: My goal is to get back in control of my eating and remember that I am worth the effort to stay healthy
11 years out from RNY
Working on losing 30 pounds of regain (5 down, 25 to go)
Weigh****chers is going well for me. I like the plan and the app. It is helping me get back in control of my eating. Since Saturday I have lost 5 pounds and even maintained today even though we went out to eat at Denny's last night.
I am back to taking a long walk every day. That helps me physically and mentally.
I am thankful for my kids who keep me (somewhat) sane and I am looking forward to 2020!!
