Whatâ??s on you Christmas menu, RNYers (Wednesday)?
Merry Christmas menu friends! Miss Lily and I have our 3.5 mile Christmas walk in and will do more later at the inlaws. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and I avoided the minefield of desserts:2 types of pie and 3 different types of cheesecake. I had a slice of ham,a spoonful of mashed potatoes and 3 bites of green beans. Today we're having chili and leftovers so I'll just stick with the chili. Leftover ham just tends to be too dry for me to eat comfortably. Weight today is 120.4. QOTD favorite church type carol is O Holy Night. Favorite newer Christmas carol is Mary Do You Know. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili with cheese D probably more chili. Have a great day everybody full of love and whatever makes you smile! Time for coffee--that makes me smile!
Good morning and merry Christmas all! Well I think I did ok last night. I filled up on meat and protein at the party and was stuffed! Never ate the first bite of sweets even though they looked so good!
QOTD: so many good ones, but my favorites are O Holy Night and Carol of the Bells.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda and maybe a slice of bacon
S: L&F yogurt with banana
Late lunch/early dinner: Roast with all the trimmings
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Mornin' All! And Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!
Dinner was great last night, as were the festivities in general, but my weight is way up this morning. We have more food coming today (brunch before gift-opening, and then dinner later this evening), but I've decided to just focus on not over-doing it (eating sensible portions, not eating crazy amounts of sweets) and then starting back in earnest tomorrow. It's one day. And all the holiday brunches, lunches, dinners, and other social gatherings are OVER. Thank God.
QOTD: hmmmm....I like several of them. I am NOT crazy about most of the modern and/or silly ones - though, like any of the "Rudolph" songs - or "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". Or "Frosty the Snowman". Sheesh! I guess I run more traditional. I especially like instrumentals.
4.5 years out:
B: I have no clue what my sister is bringing for brunch today, but likely a lot of dangerous things. I think I'll eat a thing of yogurt before I go and then bring a protein bar along just in case. Hopefully she'll have something like fruit and cheese, but I'm not counting on it. Oh - and coffee with half & half - but I've already had some of that.
AS: we'll probably be back home early- to mid-afternoon. If needed, I have yogurt and nuts and cottage cheese and raw veggies with hummus or ranch Greek yogurt dip - so one or two of those options.
D: lasagna and salad. My sister said there will likely be cookies left over that we can have for dessert, so maybe one or two cookies.
fingers crossed this all goes OK...
have a great day, everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone!
we're having Mexican food so I'm just hoping things don't make me sick. I'll be sticking to as light as possible but I know I'll have a piece of the cheesecake bites. That's ok too.

Hi all
posting from cell phone we will see how this goes. Was up about 8 with the dogs, fed them and had some coffee, focusing on veggies and meat today- I did have too many calories yesterday but would rather get it out of my system lol.
had a meltdown when I saw the pics from Christmas at my moms- I look huge to me and couldn't deal. Had a crying episode on the bed then decided to toughen up and los the regain.
that's about all- heading back to Chattanooga here in a while.

I'm sorry you had a poor self-image day. Are you sure you've regained? Meaning the # on the scale is higher then this time last year?
I'm struggling with image too. I'm within a pound of where I started the year- but my shape has changed. I'm the same size, but a lot of my clothes that I have had since just after surgery just don't fit well. I'm trying to marry my mind to it being just life. I'm nearly 5 years out- both me & clothes will change over time. I'm telling myself it's reasonable to replace things that don't wear well any more.
be kind to yourself.

Merry day everyone!!! I hope everyone is doing what they want with whom you like to do it with. I got up before the family and got my run in. I'll carry my run streak through 1/1 them go back to my norm. 2020 goal is to reduce sugar intake- I'm gonna spend the next few days figuring what a reasonable intake for sugar is.
qotd: carol of the bells and little drummer boy are my fav carols. There is a local school choir competition here that a radio station sponsors. The winning song was a rendition of little drummer boy- it's was so good. Wish I could find it recorded.
todays eats will be a hybrid of stuff. Made a tater tot casserole for breakfast. Lunch will be grazing until dinner. Dinner will be ham, greens, Mac and cheese and fried shrimp/fish.

I try to stay under 30 grams of sugar a day. It may be higher than some people here do, but for me that works. Track for a few days and see what you can eliminate.
