What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

It really is the only way -- I have a friend that I don't travel with because she can't power through the jet lag. We've never travelled together but we both know it wouldn't work, lol.
I am using points and staying at a fancy-fancy hotel near buckingham palace; I wouldn't usually but it's central to almost everything I want to do in my short window! I am so excited for the holiday lights and stonehenge at the solstice....as they say, I'll be with pagans, druids and the occasionally hippie, lol.
I have a week in the DR, two weeks in croatia (7 day cruise of the various islands on a 36 passenger ship (we're 6 of the 36) and 3 days exploring), and then either mexico or puerto rico for my nieces graduation trip (she can't decide which to pick). DR and Key West are both with friends for music festivals. When in Croatia, we're thinking of taking our last day and doing a day trip to Albania, just because none of us have been there.

Good chilly morning. We forgot to turn up one of the heaters and boy is it cold in that part of the house!
I?ve had a rough night with little sleep. I?m ready to take my leg out back and shoot it. Not really but man I could use some sleep!
I?m back on the healthy eating wagon that I unceremoniously fell off of. I had some steak fajita filling last night and I?ve paid for it.
qotd:I would say a few things. I try to be very nice to everyone and show respect unless they?ve earned none. the ladies at the thrift store we visit told me they are always glad to see me as I've always got a smile and that I act so sweet. They are almost all recovering addicts of various things. They?ve gone through this program and have turned their life around. I really like them all so that was sweet to hear from them.
another one is I?ve had 1010 sales on Etsy. 99% tutorials. It?s nice to see that people like what I design and it gives me a boost.

Mornin' All!
well I think I'm going to have to cut way back on calories. I used one of those calorie calculators last night and what I'm eating will pretty much maintain my current weight - even with all the exercising. Crap. I wish I would have never let myself gain these seven pounds as it doesn't take that many more calories to maintain weight B than it does weight A (seriously - like maybe 50 kcal/day). But it's going to take eating a LOT LESS to get back down to weight A. I've heard all my life that it's much better to never let yourself gain weight than to lose it once you've gained it. I get that now! I guess the least painful way to do this will be to add in a lot more vegetables. Or try to stay out of the house. Too bad the holidays are coming - but I'll get through this one way or another. Things should get easier in a couple of weeks when the holidays are behind us!
My MIL and I plan to finish up Christmas shopping today. I also have a few odds & ends that I really should finish up, too. No classes of interest are scheduled at the gym today, but hopefully I'll get a lot of walking in. If not, I can always go to the gym tonight and hop on the dreadmill or a stationary bike. It's better than nuttin'!
QOTD: hmmm...I guess that would have been yesterday. I "met" a relative on 23andMe (I just got my results back two days ago - this is like the fourth DNA test I've taken!). I spent all afternoon in the library on ancestry.com, and I finally figured out how we are connected. Her great grandmother and my great great grandmother were sisters back in Romania (this woman is actually originally from Romania (Bucharest) but moved to California in the early 80s. Her parents are deceased and she has no clue about any of her ancestors other than her grandparents, so she was ecstatic when I found the connection and filled her in on that particular family line (or what I know of it, anyway). She had no clue that she ever had any ancestors who lived in the same town as my ancestors did - but there it was - on a record I found! Along with a marriage date and the appropriate names!). Anyway, I evidently made her day!

So I guess I'll watch all of the things that I never saw as a kid, I watched 101 Dalmations last night. I also want to watch all of the episodes of the Mandalorian again. The baby Yoda is just too cute! JB love the meme!
Accountability lets just say it was not good and leave it at that.
Only one more day at the office and I work from home tomorrow. So that is a big plus. I also have a counseling appointment tomorrow so that always helps.

Hello my RnY buds! Happy Thursday!
It's blowing my mind that Christmas is so close! I have presents yet to buy and wrap.
This week I hit the 30-month post-surgery mark. Someone on the general forum (perhaps White Dove?) recently posted that caloric malabsorption is done by that point. All last month, quite literally, I struggled with weight gain, even though I was not eating more or differently than I had been before. The trend was not good! Though I didn't like it, I assumed that I was unfortunately probably past my WLS honeymoon and that things from now on would be more challenging, weight-wise. But I kept trying, kept good records and of course continued weighing every morning and recording the scale's verdict. Though I really didn't do anything too very differently consumption wise (other than being more careful with cheese) since I rarely overdo at all anyway, I gradually started moving downward**** under 130 again on 12/2, and now am back to 125. I probably am in fact just a bit too thin - my body fat % is very low - but nevertheless, it makes me happy and kind of amazed that I was able to reverse that strange and unintentional month of gain. May it always be so!
Tomorrow is the anniversary of my mom's death. I will go to mass in remembrance of her in the morning. Later I have a hair appointment - can't wait! Going to have more highlights done and generally inch blonder.
QOTD: To be honest, people are always saying kind and nice things to me. In so many ways, I am very lucky.
First: tea, tea, tea! With a splash of Half-n-Half, cashew milk, and SF syrup
B: Turkey breast, an ounce of cheese, a few grape tomatoes
L: tuna packet, a hard-boiled egg, and a bit of Skinny Girl Buttermilk Ranch dressing
D: salmon or shrimp, greens
S: possibly a little cinnamon protein powder - that stuff is excellent. Or I'll stick a berry Triple Zero yogurt in the freezer for a bit - holy moly is that like ice cream, or what?! It's soooo good, and I have no guilt, worry or shame when enjoying it!
Have fun today, kids!
Good morning and happy Thursday. I've been super busy and was at a client meeting yesterday and got back to the office too late to post. Today is the holiday lunch and secret santa gift exchange at work. I was late this morning because I forgot my secret santa gift, I was only 5 minutes from home when I remembered I forgot it, but that 10 minutes killed my commute. My return to solid foods is not going as well as hoped. Yesterday for lunch I had my typical ground turkey, pesto and cheese and was rewarded with blood sugar at 53 1.5 hours later. It happened again later in the day after a light and fit yogurt. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING???? was the text I sent to my surgeon.
QOTD: My boss complimented a tender letter I drafted which was nice given that the prior partner I worked for questioned my ability to write a coherent sentence in English.
My plan:
B: Turkey, pesto & Cheese (3 oz turkey, .5 oz cheese)
L: Unknown given work lunch. Hopefully something I can eat. I should have thought of that before eating my turkey. Worst case Ill run to starbucks for egg bites
D: Hamburger patty, no bun, slice of cheese
S: Homemade latte, yogurt before gym
E: spin.
