What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 12/19/19 2:18 am
Morning all! It's a freezing cold day in Boston. "Real Feel" temps are in the single digits, yuck... I can't decide if I want to take the train or drive. I am sure I will regret either decision, haha.
So, I finished my crazy marathon of meetings yesterday at 5pm! Whoo! We met individually with 35 different school principals, one meeting at a time, to review next year's enrollment projections, classroom configurations, budget, and teacher licenses. They all went well and I am really proud of the work we did to support our schools! I even got a big compliment from one of the assistant superintendents (who is infamous for eviscerating everyone), but she told my boss that I did a great job. YAY! But now I have to face bazillions of emails that I have ignored while I was in these meetings, so no rest for the weary...
Accountability: Good, I ate what I planned... but I was sitting with no movement AT ALL from 6am - 7:30pm. I think I should have eaten half of the calories I did, considering my lack of movement.
QOTD: What is the last compliment you received? Don't be shy--tell us why other people think you are awesome :) Mine was from a principal yesterday who appreciated the pre-work I did to prep her for the meeting.

Good morning folks! I was in the middle of a dream that was getting really good and the extra juicy details were about to be revealed when my alarm goes off. Sigh....now I'll never know how the story ended.
QOTD: It was at my interview the other day when my old supervisor complimented on how good I looked after losing weight. Well her words were I looked like a completely different person. Guess that could be good or bad. Lol
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda

Frigid day here to start too,JB. Not looking forward to heading out in a bit with Miss Lily to do our 2.5 miles. Hopefully it will be a quick one but you never can tell! Did our last 2.5 miles last night at 7:00pm. It was cold but it sure felt good to stretch my legs after riding 8 hours in a box truck to Iowa and back. We picked up 12 pallets of fabric donations to be used to make clothes and school bags. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 120 today. QOTD boss last week told me she loves my joy as I jump in to do whatever needs done. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 cup loaded baked potato soup D 4 oz sliced turkey S 1/3 of 100 cal pack of smart pop. 2/3 goes to Miss Lily of course! Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices!
Good morning, everybody!
I went out to my car yesterday and found out that my left rear tire was flat. Marilyn followed me to the tire store and we dropped it off. They said that I must have run over a nail sometime earlier. It only cost $40 to fix, but but the time we got back from the tire store, I ended up just working from home. Which means that I need to go into the office today.
I think that today should be a relatively quiet day at work, but we will see.
Its super cold here in Chicago. I think that after today, it is going to start warming up.
QOTD: A woman put her hand on my shoulder and said i look so healthy.
Breakfast: sausage
Snack: protein bar
lunch: Ahi tuna salad
snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

oh hi all-
slept in a little this morning. there may have been dark chocolate chips before bedtime... ugh- I avoided the scale today- and will have extra water.
gym today after work
We had roast pork last night for dinner and I had veggies, then I made a ground turkey mushroom dish or today with spinach.
QOTD: hmmm- I think it was my boss telling me I was doing a good job. or one of my coworkers saying look at you, you eat so healthy all the time... they made fun of me last week cause we went to Italian and I had a giant salad with roasted veggies and I DID have bread which I'm paying for this week on the scale.
Good morning y'all! Happy Friday Eve!
QOTD - You know, I think it would be a compliment from my mother in law. She told me the other night that she doesn't know how I do all the things I do, and make it look so easy. I'm so lucky to have her.
Breakfast - Soyrizo with potatoes, small flour tortilla, avocado and salsa
Snack - Frozen fruit smoothie with almond milk, water, and chia seeds
Lunch - Lettuce, tomato, avocado and hummus sandwich.
Snack - Rice roller with almond butter
Dinner - Beyond meat tacos at our local place here in town.
I hope you all have a great day!

Morning everyone and happy friday eve! I feel like today and tomorrow are going to crawl by!
QOTD - my step sister told me how nice it is to have me as a sounding board and mentor for dealing with her mother and work stuff. I thought that was very nice.
Accountability yesterday was good -- today is already off track so I'm settling myself down and starting over.
I've been up since 1 am and have a full pot of coffee in, plus a protein bar before I did the elliptical-- I did the next to last leg of my new zealand walk and did a walk through the Nuremberg Christmas Market -- got to see the sights and didn't have to dodge the crowds, lol. I also have a pilates class this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone!!

Your elliptical content sounds SO cool. I love Christmas markets!!! BTW, did you see the sale on Iceland Air for spring?! One of their airports with deals is Denver. I snagged round trip tickets to Bruges in March for a long weekend for $440 roundtrip out of DC. You should check - there are a bunch of locations in Europe!
PS I cannot believe you have been up since 1 am. I would fall flat on my face by lunch...

It is really cool - I'm finding I stride faster than they expect though because it will say it's a 20 minute activity and I'll be done in 14 or stuff like that. But I really like it! Bruges will be fun....I am trying to not even look at anything else for next year -- I have at least 3 international fun trips plus a week in key west...we have unlimited vacation but, I still think there are limits...but maybe I could look and then work from somewhere else:-)
Since I only have 4.5 days in London, i have been time shifting so I can go go go when I land and not deal with jetlag. I have a window exit row on the way there, so I can get myself tired and sleep on the flight tomorrow night.

I am a DICTATOR when I land in Europe! No matter if I am with my parents (70) or the kids, I make everyone stay awake the entire day lol. I don't let anyone go to sleep until 9 pm local time. It's the only way to adjust! I hope you can sleep on the plane. I normally don't.
Where are your international fun trips?
So envious of London - I love the lights on Oxford Street and the overall vibe at the holidays! Have the best time! Did you say you are at Hilton Bankside? That's where we stayed in June. Safe travels!
