hi all

well, I dropped anytime fitness as my other gym and joined workout anytime, and it includes tanning which I won't use and hydro massage which I will be using EVERYDAY lol. its a 10 minute limit but wow love it. ended up being $6 less a month than the other, now I just need to decide to stop the hospital one or not. it has an indoor and outdoor track and pool and classes which this one doesn't. so I'm torn...

QOTD: yes I do- she is very understanding so far, I just hit my 6 months here!

food plan for today

didn't eat the pork roast from last night, ended up with protein pancakes instead and some casein pudding before bed so that is for dinner tonight. it was supposed to be sushi style night but there is too much food in fridge so need to eat that instead.

Good morning, happy Wednesday y'all!

QOTD - It has taken me about 6 months to get used to my direct supervisor, and vice versa. I will say yes, at this point I do indeed like her.

Breakfast - Fruit smoothie - almond milk, frozen frui****er, chia seeds

Snack - English muffin, veggie sausage, avocado butter, tomatoes

Lunch - Lentil soup, brown veggie rice, broccoli with avocado butter

Snack - Cucumber slices, pretzels, hummus

Dinner - up in the air, probably nothing so I can start my IF on time

I hope everyone has a great day!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

G'morning everybody!

Yay for extra vacay time, Julia! So happy you will have time to relax and enjoy the holidays.

Yesterday we ended up in vet er hospital because Luna's face swelled up. It was so weird, one minute she was hanging with us and next we noticed her face swelling up. The dr said it could be a spider bite, or an allergic reaction to something. The only new thing is DD being back home with a slew of face products. Half of her suitcase is various cream lotions for her face, and she is barely 21! Anyway, we didn't figure out what it was but after the first moment of fear we couldn't stop laughing at poor Luna's swollen face. She wasn't happy. After the Benadryl shot she was kinda subdued.

I went to my support meeting last night. Sometimes I feel like people completely ignore the rules just to see what happens. This woman, very innocently, says she doesn't know why she feels sick but in the mornings she's been having a protein shake and a slice of PANETTONE!!! I'm like of course you feel sick, you are not supposed to have bread and you are not supposed to have sweets. Guess what panettone is? The funny thing was half of the ppl there didn't even know what panettone is, not even the nutritionist so I had to explain it's a traditional sweet bread in Italy that is sold only around Xmas time. While I was explaining it I was literally drooling but it's one of those things I would never buy or let into my house. No will power in front of it.

QOTD: I no longer have bosses, but for every project my client becomes my boss. I have a client who used to be my boss 15 years ago and was the one who encouraged me to go the independent/consultant route. He is still my favorite client/boss. He is the typical lead by example type of boss that you can't help but work hard for him.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee + protein
  • "Hearty" vegetable broth/miso soup
  • Fage yogurt, jello
  • Protein shake
  • Friday can't come soon enough.

    Happy hump day!

that's weird they didn't know what panettone is. Although I'm a bit of a foodie and like trying new things so I guess I pay more attention to these kinds of things!

I grew up on panettone. Mom would always freeze one and pull it out for easter so you could smear it with butter and put a piece of warm ham on it. Oh my did I say that out loud.

Good morning JB and Menuers;

The Meme today is so me but my DH does not share. He is really really anal about it. But since my surgery he does share a bite or two cause when were out I hate getting a full meal. I usually just get and appetizer and chili and he realizes one bite and I'm done. I hate having leftover restaurant food lying around. I feel obligated to fini**** for my net meal since it had been paid for.

QOTD: My direct boss is he owner and when I started here 23 years ago he believed in me and gave me a great opportunity. Through the years he had supported me and I can never thank him enough but times change and I think it has been at least 5 years since I spoke to him. He sometimes says hi when we are getting coffee but he has other adventures he does not include us in. I work straight commision and if he was not happy he would definitely say something. I have my own office with a door so until they boot me I am not going anywhere,

Accountability: Caramel covered Cheese Balls and a smidgen of toffee blew off gyn to make fudge.

TSS: 2 years since RNY So this is my surgiversary. 131.6 ( no idea how I did nothing to lose weight yesterday)

CB: Dark roast coffee with and SF pumpkin spice creamer w/Miralax and Fiber

MS Jimmy Dan Eggwich Aldi vanilla protein yogurt (their answer to triple zero.)

L: Thai turkey burger and coleslaw

D: Mississippi pot roast quesadilla

Exercise: 30 Min elliptical and PT

Everybody have a great day

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Mornin' All!

it's freezing out today. I was going to go Christmas shopping today with my MIL, but we decided to postpone until tomorrow when it's back in the 20s. I don't want to have to walk more than about 20 feet outside today! DH is working from home today and wants to go to a coffee shop to do it (it's hard to actually work at our house with these kitties!), so I'll tag along. I have some stuff I need to do that I can do on my laptop.

I'm feeling really bloated again today and have no idea why. Calories have been fine for the past three days, I've been exercising, and sodium intake was relatively low yesterday (unlike the previous few days...). I may just be backed up. Although I have a doctor's appt coming up soon - I'll ask. This crazy water retention may very well be due to something else - hopefully nothing serious! In the mean time, I'll really push the fluids today.

thinking of getting a Costco membership since you guys seem to find a lot of interesting things there. My sister and my neighbor have them and I've gone to Costco with them, but they (Costco) seem to be cracking down more lately. They'll let me come in with them, but they check membership cards now when you buy things, too. Kind of a hassle to have my sister or neighbor pay and then pay them back - esp if I have more than one or two things and they have their own cartload of stuff. Do you Costco folks think the membership is worth it? I'm such a tightwad!

QOTD: no boss anymore - I'm retired. YAY!!! I've had good bosses at most places I've worked, though. Most.

4.5 years out:

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and some kind of fruit compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake (with more than the usual capful of Miralax!)

L: salad with the rest of the deli turkey plus light dressing

AS: L&F yogurt or a piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie

D: maybe pulled pork. Or turkey meatballs on zoodles.

ex: Zumba. It burns a lot of calories!

have a great day, everyone!

edited to add that I rarely go to Costco - maybe once every couple of months - so hopefully I'd go more if I had a membership. Otherwise, it IS kind of a waste...
