Happy Monday -- great pictures!! I hope this is a good and fast week for everyone; I really need it to be friday afternoon soon. Looking at my calendar, M-W is going to be rough but meetings start to decline on Thursday and Friday so yay.
QOTD - I can't really think of a food pusher but I definitely have alcohol pushers which is odd to me. I understand for a lot of people offering food is offering love but not so much with the booze. At Thanksgiving, i actually had to tell someone something along the lines of "if my not drinking bothers you, that's your problem", I made a point of not say "i'm sorry my not drinking bothers you" because I'm not actually sorry. However, I am sorry your mom makes it difficult for you with food.
menu for today
Coffee with half and half X 3
B - carbmaster can raisin cottage cheese
S - L&F greek
L - 3 oz ever roast deli chicken, 1 cheese stick
D - paleo smoked chicken, basil and cracked pepper sausage
S - L&F greek
82 protein, 33 carbs, 735 calories
Ex - 40 minutes elliptical done and I have a pilates jump class this afternoon
Have a great monday everyone!

Mornin' All!
I did well eating-wise yesterday, but the couple of days before have evidently caught up with me as my weight was way up this morning. So I'm feeling your pain too, JB. I'll be on track this week for sure and really pushing fluids. And exercising. I've also decided to contact the host of the wine & cheese party scheduled for Friday night and tell her something came up so we won't be able to attend. A lie - but with Christmas coming next week (with a couple of big family dinners planned - plus most likely a bunch of unhealthy snacks at my mom's house), the last thing i need is another food event this week. The only other "eating event" I have this week is lunch with a friend on Friday, which I should be able to manage.
I have to attend a hearing this morning re: getting temporary guardianship of an elderly woman with no family (well, she has a niece - but the niece doesn't want to be her guardian). I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile (it's a volunteer position) but admittedly I'm a little freaked out right now. This is a big commitment. Anyway, there will be another hearing in January re: me getting permanent guardianship. Evidently they need someone right away, though, in case any health issues come up - thus, the hearing (and temporary guardianship) today.
QOTD: my stepmother was a food pusher, but she lived far away and has passed away. Nobody else that I spend any time with is, really. Thank God.
4.5 years out:
B: Plain Greek yogurt with some kind of fruit compote. Maybe half a protein pumpkin muffin, too. Coffee with half & half
MS: none (in court)
L: salad with diced turkey and light dressing
AS: L&F yogurt or crustless protein pumpkin pie with SF Cool Whip
D: half a Beyond Burger in a slim "bun" (didn't have this last night as I'd originally planned). Salad or some kind of vegetable
ex: WERQ
ok so last week was a real crap shoot food wise . bread and cheesecake and girl cycle plus two heavy lifting days in a row means weight GAIN!!! so I'm pushing crap tons of water this week to get the number down.
I did an online course called getting over overeating- I found it to be very good. its on insight timer app if yall are interested... they are offering a 7 day free pass so you can check it out.
QOTD: my mom is a food pusher. its horrible- then she had the nerve to say to my aunt and uncle- yeah Hillary and I need to get back on our diets... OMG I was honked off. Yes, I weigh more than I EVER wanted to after going through what I have... but seriously
food plan
water water everywhere
coffee
SF jello
chicken meatloaves/green beans
more chicken meatloaves/mushrooms/green beans
gym- MAYBE today- maybe not.. we will see.
Morning all!
JB your pictures are fantastic! Thank you for sharing!
My mom is most definitely a food pusher. She tries to be supportive and she is for the most part in wanting to cook healthy things when I'm there but she doesn't understand the getting full quickly and not needing extras. Last time I was there she made a nice healthy turkey meatloaf which was great! Then she wanted to make me pudding and was trying to get me to eat more meatloaf and then wanted me to have some peaches. She's made progress in understanding the healthy part of it which I am grateful for but it's the quantity that she pushes now. I feel your pain JB, she used to be really bad in terms of pushing bad food and it's tough to be strong when it's sitting in front of you.
This is my last week of work, my holidays start on Friday and then I'm not back at wor****il January 6. I am really looking forward to it but the next 4 days are also going to be extremely busy!
Here is my food for today:
B: 85g of plain skyr yogurt with 1/4 cup saskatoon berries, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds and some no sugar peach flavoured sweetener.
S: tea latte with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk and sugar free cinnamon vanilla syrup
L: 3 ounces sugar free teriyaki chicken and 2 tablespoons cauliflower rice
S: 2 wedges of light laughing cow cheese
D: TBD
Have a great day everyone!
Good morning JB and Menuers,
I am having a rough morning here. I lost my rubber workout ring. I put it on my pinky finger till I got to work so I could put it in my gym bag and by the time I got here it was gone. Then when I went to make my coffee I realized I forgot my miralax and fiber combo to add to my coffee.
We had a productive weekend we make 144 Christmas cookies and only 1 fell in my mouth. Winning! I made the wonton Pumpkin pie treat on the recipe page to help reduce the craving and it worked.
QOTD: All the food pushers in my life have passed away. My grandmother and father were huge food pushers and always denied it. My dad would say you gain wait because you go out to eat. Well in his later life we got him a dog. He was retired and bored and lonely when we all still had to work. That poor labrador ballooned up to 126 lbs. I asked my dad one day What restaurants has Caesar been going too. He still denied being a food pusher.
Accountability: So a cookie and some tortilla chips at the mexican restaurant on Saturday and some hash brown casserole yesterday at breakfast.
TSS: 2 years 5 day 134 (lowest 133.6)
CB: Dark roast coffee with and SF pumpkin spice creamer
MS Jimmy Dean eggwich Aldi vanilla protein yogurt (their answer to triple zero.)
L: Leftover steak Fajita filling and a pumpkin wonton treat.
D: Thai turkey burger and coleslaw
Exercise: I got PT at 7 so I'm going to try to hit the gym before
Everybody have a great day
Brightest Blessings,
Chrissy

JB, you and Grim are SO cute. I can't even take it! We normally do a lights event each year but we haven't yet this year. There is a huge one at the Nationals Stadium called Enchant DC that costs a freaking arm and a leg, but we may go next Monday if it's not raining.
QOTD: Hmm, my mom was always someone who showed love though food...I think I tend to do the same. Kris' family teases me when they visit, that they are so well-fed, but I mean, I have to make meals? I can't really be like, "oh if you want lunch, scrounge something up", right?
That reminds me, I need to start working on my meal plan for the week they are here, which requires a big Costco list :)
I haven't had my Boars Head Ever Roast chicken (thin sliced/shaved!) in almost two weeks. I swung by Giant the other night and picked up a pound. YAY.
B: Iced coffee with half and half and sugar-free toffee syrup, 3 oz boars head chicken, 2 oz goat cheese
L: Leftover tomato soup, leftover tuna mixed with olive tapenade, roasted red peppers, feta cheese, red onion, artichokes, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, olive oil
D: Out with a friend, despite the sleeting awfulness of today's weather
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Good morning!
I'm a mess of worry with my back. MRI tomorrow morning. On a scale of 1-10 the pain is steady at a 7-8 depending on the activity. I have a back brace to help with support. I'm not one to ask for stuff but any good thoughts are appreciated. My anxiety is enormous ATM.
eating has been ****
qotd: my grandma was but also my mom a little bit. Not nearly as bad as my grandma was but it can be hard.
