Ha. I totally have thoughts like this sometimes when I am lying in bed and can't sleep.

I hope everyone had a really nice weekend! I was super super busy which was fun, but not the weekend I needed. I had plans to be busy on Saturday so that I could have a relaxing Sunday, but that didn't happen. So I am heading into another hell week at work on no sleep! But here are a few pics of me & Grim at the freezing cold lights display at the Botanical gardens last night:

Accountability: GAH. I am really upset with myself. I planned to have an all keto detox day, and I had a good start! ...but then I spent the day with my mother. My mom is a serious food pusher. It's actually really upsetting as an adult to realize how much this happens. I told her not to offer me anything. I told her what I planned to eat. And I was good about turning down the first 500 offers of treats. But by 501 I was powerless, and I ended up having 1 triscuit with cheese, 1 piece of toffee, and 2 cookies. I am really upset with myself.

QOTD: Do you have a food pusher in your life?

Morning all! Ugh it's monday. I'm still half asleep.

QOTD: yes, my mother as well. She's always saying things like "just one won't hurt you", "a little of this and that will be ok", "a few of these will be fine", "a bite of this won't be bad". And before I know it I've eaten wayyy more than I should have! So I really have to put my foot down with her.....in a nice way of course. Lol

B: premier shake

B2: coffee w/Splenda

L: turkey and cheese roll up

D: salmon and veggies

Beautiful pictures, JB. Miss Lily and I will probably not get much walking in today except several walks around the circle as we got about 4 inches of snow and n othing is plowed out here in the country. Maybe we can get some done after work if the road is cleared off. We'll do what we can though. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120 today. QOTD yes my MIL sometimes. My mom was a terrible food pusher before she died. Sadly, though, many times it doesn't take much pushing to get me to eat. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L P3 pak D 4 oz garlic brats S if needed L&F yogurt shared with Miss Lily of course. Have a wonderful day full of smart choices everyone! Time now for some coffee!

G'morning all!

JB - those pics are so cute. You guys look so cold, cute but cold!

Had a great productive weekend. Done shopping for everybody, except for DH. Now comes the wrapping. Super excited DD comes home from college tonight. Can't wait to see her smiley face. She is like a ray of sunshine for all of us. Even DS is excited she is coming home and nowadays he doesn't get excited for anything or anybody.

I called my surgeon's office on Fri and all I was feeling was normal. The stitches from inside are tight and supposedly they stretch. They were right, in fact since Sat I hadn't need any pain medication. So all is good.

QOTD: no food pushers in my life, it's all me self medicating/self soothing.

Still on soft/liquid food so my meals yesterday:

  • Coffee + protein
  • "Hearty" vegetable broth/miso soup
  • Fage yogurt, jello
  • Protein shake

Have a great start of the week.

Good morning, everybody!

Do you remember when I told you that we were going to ride on the Zamboni last night? Well, apparently that was a senior moment because what we had signed up for was our picture taken at Center Ice after the game. I am not sure whether I signed up for the Zamboni and didn't get it or whether I just forgot which I signed up for, but in any case, I will post our center ice picture on Friday.

We did get a Bobble head that Marilyn was ecstatic about in connection with the picture. And speaking of hockey, Keely sent me some pucks from the Monsters, which are way cool. I like their green claw logo.

85 work emails and a 90 minute conference call yesterday, so this year is not ending gently. I am hoping that after mid-week, things will slow down into a normal pre-holiday week.

QOTD: No pushers, per se. But some of my friends have a lifestyle that is not really conducive to me staying healthy. For details refer to my post last Thursday.

Breakfast: chili

snack: protein bar

Lunch: chicken

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: Chili

Have a great day, all!

Do you leave on your Antiopodes cruise before or after Christmas? Also, I love the word Antipodes and never get a reason to use it so thank you for cruising, lol.
