I am nearly 10 years post revision and recently I was told that my pancreas appears to be a little bit atrophic. I was told that this was common in "older folks" and nothing to really be concerned about.
I also have experienced some more weight loss without trying. I tried pancreatic enzymes without any change.
I have all kinds of issues with my digestive system like small bowel obstructions, pain after eating, chronic constipation, hernias and other things. Most of my problems are probably related to the fact that I have had several abdominal surgeries and a lot of scar tissue and adhesions, not necessarily related specifically to WLS.
My symptoms are for the most part manageable. I just take things as they come and try not to worry about things I cannot change.
For every negative thing there are a lot more positive things and I just focus on my improvements and not the things that aren't as good.
Good luck to you. I hope you get things under control and start feeling better.
