Good morning! Happy Finally Friday!

QOTD - I love documentaries. Absolutely love them. At this time, I recommend The Game Changers on Netflix. https://www.netflix.com/title/81157840

I will tell you that my husband is a Harley riding, beard having carnivore. I am vegan. He has always supported me in my eating, however he made it clear early on that he was not giving up steak, fried chicken, bacon, etc. I respect that, we are all different and have different ways of feeding ourselves. I never wanted to make him eat/do anything he didn't want to.

That being said, he watched this documentary with me, and I've seen some changes in his desire to eat more plant based meals as he is able to. Mostly it spoke to him about heart health, and such small changes you can make that can affect your health in the long run. This documentary doesn't preach, it doesn't shove animal cruelty into your face, it simply talks about sustainability, food sources, and lies we were all told growing up about what we truly need to consume to be healthy.

I'm not trying to change the world, but every single meal that is meatless, even if just one a week is making a difference. I am a huge believer of "when you know better, you do better" and I think this documentary could at least inspire everyone to have one meatless meal a week!

Breakfast - skipping, still doing IF until noon.

Lunch - Paesanos with team! I plan on a salad, fruit and a small pasta dish.

Snack - Rice roller with peanut butter

Dinner - Beyond burger, sauteed with onions, tomato and frozen broccoli.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

G'morning JB and menuers!

I had heard of that bucket thing. It gives me the shivers just thinking about it. Why would somebody need that much Mac and cheese? I remember the first time DD asked for Mac and cheese at a restaurant, she was around 3-4! I was so disappointed, I thought I had raised her better. To this day when my kids order Mac and cheese or make it at home (I refuse to make it) they smirk and look at me sideways knowing I can't stand it.

I'm gonna call my surgeon's office today, but if you guys have any insight pls chime in. I'm good during the day while I'm walking and sitting, but the minute I lay down my surgery area is in pain to the point it takes my breath away and makes me nauseous. I know they didn't touch my intestines but it feels like it's all twisted and the laying down position stretches it and it's painful. The only position I can sleep in is like in a recliner, with tons of pillows behind me and half up. Also one of the incisions (holes) is hard like a rock and almost like there is a ball underneath it. It doesn't hurt, it's not red so not infected but looks weird. So that's the summary of my whining.

QOTD: sorry no new documentary, I am slowly catching up with some shows. The Crown, The man in high castle, etc.

The pics are from Mon evening and Tue morning. Beautiful red sunset on the ocean and a gorgeous pink sunrise above the roofs the next morning.

My meals yesterday:

  • Coffee + protein
  • "Hearty" vegetable broth
  • Fage yogurt, jello
  • Protein shake

Happy Fri-yay and a great weekend to all!

ugh, so sorry you are dealing with that. Not sure if it's the same but I had something they called a "deep stitch issue" which essentially was one of the intramuscle stitches was just too tight and so in certain positions, it stretched and caused pain. I was not happy but once they said it wasn't serious, I could deal. It lasted a few weeks if I remember.
