I can't keep protein bars in my house either because I will eat them till they are gone. They taste way too good. I do occasionally pick them up in a gas station when we're traveling.

Adli now has Low carb protein bars. They are small with only 10g of protein only 2 gm carb and 170 calories. I like them because I don't have to try to cut them in half and try not eat the other half. So far I found 6 different flavors. The dark Chocolate taste just like a Mounds bar.

Mornin'!

I have no idea who would buy a 27 lb tub of mac & cheese. Maybe someone who runs a day care center? I can't even imagine...

I have a breakfast meeting today at 9:30 and my film discussion group meets over lunch (at 12:30). Neither restaurant has ideal choices, but I'll make do. Yesterday (with the luncheon) I ended up going over my calorie limit by 150, but I urped up half the lunch (I think there might have been too much fat in it? I'm not sure what prompted that), so I probably ended up being OK!

I got a letter yesterday afternoon from the county court. I have to go to a hearing on Monday morning re: granting me temporary legal guardianship of the woman I talked about last summer (she has dementia and has no family. so she's being assigned a legal guardian). I had no idea how long this approval process was going to take - good Lord. It's probably been four months. Anyway, the hearing for permanent legal guardianship isn't until January (the letter addressed that as well), but she needs someone right away in case decisions need to be made (regarding medical stuff, I would imagine). Anyway, it's a good thing all I had scheduled on Monday was a committee meeting that I can skip. Talk about last minute...

QOTD: hmmm....documentaries are usually my movies of choice (I especially liked to watch them on Netflix or youtube before going to bed), but I haven't seen one for awhile. I did see one a couple of months ago in a movie theatre, though - it was on Molly Ivins. Boy - we could really use another Molly Ivins now!!

4.5 years out:

B: I'll probably order the eggs benedict and punt half the English muffin and the "potatoes O'Brien"

L: they have soup at this place, but none that work for me (they're either way off plan or they bother my stomach (i.e., the tomato one - too much acid)). Not a lot of good choices, but I may get a sandwich with raw veggies and dill dip as my side. I can eat half the sandwich. Maybe the turkey/bacon/avocado one. Not too dangerous and lots of fat and protein - should hold me over for the rest of the day

D: the other half of the turkey sandwich - or else salad with diced turkey and light dressing

I doubt I'll have any snacks today, but if needed, I have a ton of L&F yogurt in the fridge...

have a great day, all!!

you'll wish that she's still around. She would have had a heyday with all the crap that's going on now!
