Good morning, everybody!

OK, Alinea did not disappoint. And I have pictures. I will try and post the pictures in the order of the courses. EDIT - Nope, I messed that up. Sorry, guys.

First, we did a second version of Twelve Days of Christmas: 12 Turkish get ups, 11 95 pound snatches, 10 calories rowing, 9 20 pound wall balls, eight overhead kettlebell swings, 7 Burpees, 6 box jumps, 5 hanging knee raises, 4 20 pound slam balls, three 30 pound dumbbell thrusters, 2 pull-ups and a rope climb (scaled). Did that and the later olympic lifting session burn off all of the calories from dinner? Probably not.

We started with Tattinger Rose champagne. Yum.

The first course was caviar on a cloud of blood orange foam over a whipped Heart of Palm.

Next was a halibut in fennel and apple.

For the seafood course they poured a scented dry ice into our table lighting, so that the entire table was enveloped in a scented smoke. Then they brought out a shell with coconut curry soup, a bit of octopus, and a a little pice of crab su****hat was served on a glass crab. I loved the crab serving dish.

The next dish was served on a fake log that kept it warm and was a woodland/foraged theme of rabbit, mushroom, celery root.

Then they brought out a little barbecue which roasted a mushroom. I don't really like mushrooms, but i did eat some of this

The main course was a Steak Dianne served on these beautiful plates. Dominus Cabernet with the steak.

Then they brought out these fried sweet potato balls with flaming cinnamon sticks

Finally, for dessert, they brought out a rubber table cloth and three pots of paint (strawberry, banana, toasted jasmine) which they used to paint the table and served it with chocolate pastry and strawberry ice cream. I tried very little of that because of the sugar.

Finally, we ended with helium filled balloons made from apple sugar. I stayed the hell away from that. It was funny to hear everybody talk with helium voices.

QOTD: Probably something that would let me retire to warmer place sooner.

So obviously, the plan is to not eat a 10 course dinner today.

Breakfast: turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Chicken

Snack: Nuts

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

was the scented thing at the seafood course, seafood scented? I think I would love to try the fried sweetpotato with the flaming cinnamon stick the most but everything looks amazing.

The first 8 days were pretty easy but the last four days (45,55,66,78 reps) got hard.

Holy crap, Jim! I can't decide if that is the most amazing meal, or the most bougie meal. Or maybe both! Looks incredible, I have to say. I always have the best meals through work. I think the best meal I ever had was at Nobu in London where it was easily $200-$300 per person. Thank god I didn't have to pick up that tab!

Emily - i thought of you when I saw that crab dish. I know how you like a good crab.

We sat down and they asked us which wine pairing we wanted, and I chose the middle one, my boss said that this wasn't an expensed dinner.

The portions are so small that I don't think you did much damage.
Your workout was brutal.
