What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers??
on 12/12/19 1:19 am
Thanks for getting us started yesterday, Jen! This meme is a follow up to yours! Hahaha.
Yesterday's meetings went well! Now I only have 3 more straight days of these on Friday, Monday and Wednesday... oy. But I feel more confident that the format I created for the meetings is good, and we are getting the info we need from them. Yay!
Accountability: I was very good about not eating the copious amounts of treats all day, but I did have two apple cider donut holes at the end of the day when I was cleaning up. The worst part about yesterday was how sedentary it was. Not joking when I tell you I had fewer than 3000 steps all day! I am really going to try to get myself to the gym today--I really need to get moving.
QOTD: If magic was real, what is the first spell you would try? I am sure I would do something food related, so that I could eat crap and stay thin and healthy!

G'morning JB and all!
Sorry about the sedentary meeting. I can relate when we have 2-3 days of meetings and stuck in a conf room.
I was MIA the last couple of days because I had my gallbladder surgery yesterday. Mon & Tue (actually starting Sun night) was a rush to finish as many projects as I could before I was laid up fur a couple of days. Yesterday arrived at the hospital at 9:30 for an 11:30 surgery but didn't get into the operating room till 12:30. After that it's all a blur. I'm a "light weight" when it comes to drugs, alcohol and anesthesia, even before WLS. Just a little goes a long way with me. After surgery I could hear them trying to wake me up but it was really hard for me to open my eyes. I overheard one of the nurses saying wow, she is totally knocked out. I finally woke up around 4:30 pm from the pain. To make a long story short I was discharged around 6:00 pm. So all in all it was not bad. I gotta be honest I don't remember much pain after RNY, or maybe what they gave for pain medication was stronger, because I remember taking it at night and go into lala land right away. But this time around as you can see I'm up at 3:00 am because it hurts so bad. Oh well, this too shall pass.
QOTD: I'm with you JB, I wish I could eat everything and stay thin. Another magic/miracle I am asking for is to have a happy DS!
You guys are gonna laugh at this but my diet for the next 10 days is liquid and soft food. So here I go again with:
protein shakes
Fage yogurt
Miso soup
Have a great jr Fri-yay!
