What's on your menu (Wednesday) RNYers?
Ha ha, Jen...that gingerbread house is hilarious. I am so not crafty. Seeing Cynthia's gingerbread house, I could never put that together!
I started my day with getting a same-day doctor's appointment, since my cold that turned into laryngitis seems to have morphed into a sinus infection? She put me on Flonase and mucinex regimen. I also got my flu shot. I have meetings from 11 until 8, ugh. Long day.
QOTD: As kids, our tradition was reading Christmas books on Christmas Eve and then driving around and looking at Christmas lights. The tradition we do with the kids now is that they get to open one gift the night before Christmas. We do our Christmas on the 24th since they go to their mom's Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day. We have the entire break other than that day and a half.
Still no groceries though I had my EveryPlate delivery so I have some things to cook. I have free boxes to give if anyone is interested in trying it!
B: Scrambled eggs with artichoke dip from Trader Joes, after my iced coffee
L: leftover chicken burrito bowl
D: chicken sausage with pasta - less pasta for me
E: This sinus thing is kicking my butt. I am showered and not going to the gym, thanks to so many calls :(
Have a fab day, everyone!

Good morning and happy wednesday. Yesterday was not a good day (food wise). I was 100% on plan, but my system is not adapting to solid food well (or I'm not re-adapting to the way I need to eat. I think I eat too fast and need to go back to 1 oz portions) Anyway, I had chicken thigh for dinner and it lasted in my system for about 35 minutes before I had to force it back up. I felt the pain from that chicken in my neck. So who knows what today will bring.
QOTD: I don't know about new traditions, but would love to resurrect old ones. The people I used to spend christmas with are now scattered over various states (and in some cases, no longer with us) I'd love for us all to pick a location and get together like we used to. I miss them, and the times we spent together.
My plan: I don't know. I'm super tired of liquid and its impacting my workouts but yesterday sucked so . . .
B: overnight oats blended
L: I have chicken thigh, lentil soup or black beans with me. It will be a game time decision what I go with
D:??? Spin after work so that means I won't get home until close to 9.
S: homemade latte. I forgot my yogurt for before the gym so perhaps one of the lunch choices that didn' make the cut if needed.

Oh, that would be fun to have a christmas reunion with your friends! Hope today's eating went better!

QOTD- We used to open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Morning. What I would like to do is exchange books and spend the day reading like Jen suggested.
I've been reading everyone's posts but not writing because I'm really struggling. I hit the low weight when I had a colonoscopy, but once hydrated I'm back up a couple of pounds. They found and removed a small polyp and I'm waiting to see what it is.
My Mom broke her arm and was thinking she would have to get surgery but she just needs a cast and will be seeing the orthopedist again in 2 weeks.
My insurance denied the prescription for what I was prescribed and I have to do 28 days on another medication and if it doesn't work they will pay for the other drug. I feel like a guinea pig and don't appreciate having to try drugs that so far make me anxious, shaky and tired. I'm not sure I will last the 28 days... depression and anxiety suck.
Accountability there were Reese's Trees...enough said.
Have a great day everyone!

Glad to see you Julia and sorry you are struggling; the insurance companies really don't understand how difficult it is to deal with these medication games -- I hope you are able to get through and then get to the medication that was working! Hang in there and check in here as you need/want to.
