What's on your menu (Wednesday) RNYers?

Hey y'all! Thanks for starting! I got here early! It only took 2 hours not 3, which was a miracle because the roads are terrible. I think the snow actually kept a bunch of people home today, though, so it evened itself out. The building isn't open until 7:15 so I have a few mins to sit in the parking lot and compose myself before this wild and crazy day (month?) begins.
QOTD: A few years ago I took off the week before Christmas as a staycation week, and it was a game changer. In education we always get the week after Christmas, but that's too late to get things done and take part on all the holiday activities. I said I would always do that from now on...ha. But last year was impossible, and this year I haven't earned my vaca time yet. Maybe next year!
Today's eats:
M1: Protein Coffee
M2: Starbucks bacon egg bites
M3: Chicken Caesar salad
M4: Parm Crisps
M5: ??
I bought a ****ton of treats for this marathon meeting. A combo of crappy treats, granola bars, fruit and nuts. Something for everyone, to stave off the inevitable crankiness. I intend to be well behaved, and if I need something more I'll reach for the almonds :)

Mornin'!
I'm headed off to water aerobics in a few minutes, then brunch with a friend. The obstacle course with food starts today and goes through Saturday (brunch today, lunch tomorrow, breakfast AND lunch on Friday, and two parties on Saturday night - one of which I will be skipping because it's a freaking COOKIE PARTY!). So I will be eating reasonably at those meals, lightly at all other meals (the non-eating-out meals), and doing lots of exercising!!
accountability - I went 100 kcal over my goal yesterday (crap..not awful - but crap, since I've been trying to stay within range), but I did an hour of Zumba last night, which probably offset it, but still, crap... I'll try to do better today
QOTD: I wish we "did" Christmas the way we "do" Thanksgiving - just time with family and a special meal and not have the stress of all the gift-buying (and getting things we don't need - everyone has too much stuff already). We did try this once, but the next year we went back to same old Christmas routine. At least we don't spend as much on gifts anymore and tend to give more things like gift cards or items like food and not nearly as many "things" as we used to. But still, I'd be happy with no gifts at all!
4.5 years out:
B: Greek yogurt with raspberries, coffee with half & half
L: brunch at a French cafe. Nothing is really on plan there - they have mostly crepes and open-faced sandwiches. I'll probably get the latter. With ham & cheese or maybe with an egg. They all feature bechamal sauce - but if I punt the bread, I may be OK if I"m careful the rest of the day.
AS: if needed, raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip
D: maybe "mousse" made with cottage cheese, protein powder, sweetener, and cocoa powder (with enough unsweetened cashew milk to get it going in the blender)
have a great day, all!

I agree with you on your QOTD -- how did things go at the french place? I would meet one of my book club groups at a french chain restaurant and usually have an omelette or the inside of a quiche.

I ended up getting a buckwheat crepe stuffed with ham and swiss cheese with a poached egg on top. And spring mix on the side with probably a tablespoon of vinaigrette. I ate the salad and half the crepe - and I had the other half for dinner tonight. I did OK calorie-wise (there wasn't a ton of ham and cheese in the crepe), and it had lots of fat and protein to boot, so it kept me pretty satisfied most of the day. I'd order that again - and eat half of it (again...). The crepes aren't as caloric as the giant pieces of baguette or whatever they put the sandwiches (even the open-faced ones) on. Although in that case, I could have just punted the bread...
Good morning,
I am a gal without a plan today but will post what I think will happen. I have been really struggling with my eating and need to get back to basics and what I know works! I am 5.5 years post op and this **** just doesn't get easier.
B-coffee
L-did not pack anything, WTF is wrong with me? i have a tuna packet in my office emergency stash, so i will have that.
D-dinner out with a friend, i plan on choosing protein forward...
QOTD- I would like to start a new tradtion at work where we actually do something festive! the first year i worked here, I bought my co-workers (there is 4 people total!) a modest gift and I gave it to my boss *****plied "we don't do Christmas". Its a very difficult place to come to every day during the holidays.
