What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Helloooooo JB and menu pals!
I am back after a pretty magical 3 night getaway to Nassau, Bahamas. This was my BF and I's Christmas gift to each other - we used points for flights and then got a friends and family rate at a Hilton. Who know the food in the Bahamas was SO expensive?! Each meal was like $100 - expensive meals plus 12% VAT plus 15% gratuity always included. Yikes. We are not going to obsess over how much more we accidentally had to spend! We got delayed FIVE hours in Philly due to weather - so we sat in that airport for five hours before our 27 minute flight home to Baltimore. Yep. So I went to bed at 2 am. Propping the eyes open with toothpicks...
Since we just traveled, and my food delivery meals don't arrive until this evening, it's going to be a "scrape it together" day. I think maybe breakfast for lunch (scrambled eggs and chicken sausage and biscuits) for Kris and I will make hard-boiled eggs and mash them with cottage cheese. Dinner will be pasta with chicken sausage and peppers once the box arrives.
B: coffee with half and half and sugar-free syrup, and then maybe string cheese?
L: 2 hard-boiled eggs mashed with cottage cheese
D: pasta with chicken sausage and peppers (less pasta for me)
E: nope. I will be amazed if I even get out of my pajamas
Have a fab day, everyone!
Hi Everyone.
I've been struggling food wise lately....neglecting my menu planning and tracking. Naturally, I've gained some weight, and today I'm getting myself back on track. Very angry with myself for my lapse.
B: 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2 avocado
L: 3 oz deli ham, 1 oz cheddar, celery sticks
D: 2 chicken thighs, mixed greens w/ lite dressing

Hi everyone! I'm a late poster today but the morning got away from me!
JB I have a feeling you can pull off whatever you need to do on the fly without a problem!! Good luck - I'll be sending good vibes your way!
It's super cold here today, -27 degrees celcius which is I think about -17 fahrenheit. It's bright and sunny and calm for now though so that always helps. Too bad the shivering wouldn't cause weight loss!!
My food for the day:
B: 85 g Skyr yogurt with 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1/4 cup saskatoon berries and a bit of peach flavoured sugar free sweetener
S: Tea latte made with 1/2 cup fairlife skim milk and sugar free cinnamon vanilla syrup
L: 3 ounces chicken parmesan
S: 2 wedges light laughing cow cheese
D: 3 ounces crack chicken and 2 tablespoons of cauliflower rice
Have a great day everyone! Stay warm!
morning all. So my endoscopy was cancelled at the last minute because there was an issue with my insurance. My old policy ended on 11/30 and although I sent the COBRA election form (new insurance doesn't start until 1/1/20 it didn't get processed in time so when pre registration at the hospital checked coverage, I had none. After much time spent on the phone with blue shield they convinced me my coverage didn't lapse, but we couldn't convince the hospital and I wasn't willing to write a check for the cost of the endoscopy. Luckily the Gastrointerologist had a cancellation for next monday, so I'm only a week off. Fingers crossed that it's straightened out because I have an appt with the orthopedist on Friday and do not want to cancel.
QOTD: Actually i like driving, and if the self driving isn't going to make my commute shorter, I'm not really interested.
My plan:
B: overnight oats with strawberry yogurt and .5 tbs of peanut butter powder, blended (PB&J overnight oats)
L: Lentil soup or tuna. Haven't decided
D: I may live on the edge and have some chicken (not blended, but chopped into small pieces)
S: latte (x2) and a yogurt if needed before the gym

Not sure if anyone will see this, but I need someone else to start the thread tomorrow!
Spreadsheet/Meeting-Palooza mixed with a snowy forecast is going to require an extra extra early start for me.
