What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Morning all! I'm dragging this morning and don't know why. I just did not want to get out of bed this morning. Still sooo sleepy. Well my interview got cancelled yesterday at the last minute so I was kinda bummed about that. They are supposed to get back in touch with me to reschedule. I was all dressed up and ready too....got up an extra thirty minutes just to get ready. Oh well....what can ya do.
QOTD: Yes!!! I'd be willing to try it out and I want one! I hate driving! Although, I'd wait to get one until enough people had used them and had gotten all the kinks out. Not gonna lie, I'd be a little wary.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey and cheese roll up
D: salmon and veggies
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Good morning, everybody!
Did anybody see the article about the volcano in New Zealand? That's the cruise that we are going on. Same ship, next voyage. Yikes. The itinerary must be slightly different because we don't think that we go as far North as White Island where the volcano erupted. But it's still sad to think that people were killed on the very same boat.
We have our work Holiday party this weekend. Its disco themed. Not sure why that is. I tend to associate disco with cocaine, braless-ness and polyester rather that holiday bliss, but maybe I'm old fashioned. I don't know whether I will go. Marilyn has a Christmas party for one of her tennis leagues and DD won't be home from school yet, so, if I go, it will be as a solo. (It would be torture for my sons). Some mention was made of a short appearance followed by going out to dinner.
In any case, if I go I won't be wearing a white leisure suit with gold chains. Also, I blame the millennials for this.
QOTD: My understanding is that we are a ways from the stage at which we will be able to pop into our cars and fall asleep, but anything that relieves traffic I am for.
Breakfast: turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Ahi tuna salad
Snack: Light and Fit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all.

Gosh dang it's only 19 degrees and feels like 8 here this am. Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in and will do more later today. She is such a trooper and doesn't mind the cold if she has her coat on. It was more like a run because it was so cold! We did it though! Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.4 today. QOTD no I wouldn't trust it. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c chili with cheese D 4 cheese encrusted cod S if needed L&F yogurt shared with Miss Lily of course. Have a great day full of smart and healthy choices !
QOTD: I hear they are really safe but I don't know. My sister will not let ANYONE drive her around so she is out. even long road trips she will not let anyone drive.
well I did pretty well yesterday but tiredness happened about 8 pm which led to dark chocolate and some granola? I don't even know but I felt terrible after. Perhaps next time I can recognize this before it happens and stop it. Therapist online class is helping though...
I made almost 10 pounds of mashed potatoes last night for this work event. they are in the IP on crock pot now warming up and finishing cooking- then I'm hitting them with the immersion blender and maybe some more liquids and butter.
plans for today- said work event- lots of work to be done, and 2 meetings - one across the street near the end of the day. hopefully I can leave straight from that meeting.
food plan
chicken/garlic cauliflower
ham/veggies whatever else at this holiday thing

I'd looove to go but I don't think anyone else in my life would enjoy it at all...(I need better friends and famiy who'd enjoy a an evening of Dolly!).
She showed up as a surprise guest at the Boston tree lighting last week to promote it. I really wish I'd been there!
