What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

That's great about the ricotta pancakes. I'm not sure if it's the same thing or not, but when I was completely off carbs for a few weeks, I had absolutely no inclination to eat sweets at all. There was a bag of chocolate in front of me and it had as much appeal as a bag of cardboard. But as soon as I went off the wagon and had carbs again, the chocolate monster emerged...

I regularly eat carbs and don't crave sugar. This was specific to the 1 hour post breakfast sandwich. It didn't seem to matter if it was eaten at 8am on a Tuesday or 10am on a weekend.
Since re-introducing carbs I crave food in general a lot less. I had weird food obsessions due to my restriction - I would spend all day anticipating my end of day yogurt, or I'd have dreams about Fro-Yo and think about it all day. That's all gone since I started incorporating all foods.

Maybe it was just the memory associated with craving the post-McDonalds chocolate from back in the day, then?

It's a documented "thing" that eating something intensely salty makes you crave something sweet. So, I guess a sausage patty and american cheese is enough for me. But yes, it might be specific types of foods since I eat Sushi pretty regularly and don't notice it after that - but Sushi is so filling is there really room to want anything else?
Anyway, it was an interesting data point and I still haven't grocery shopped so today I'll be doing something different for breakfast and we'll see how it goes!

Our heads can do a number! I love that since you've let yourself reintroduce all foods, you're feeling better/having less cravings.
