What's on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 12/8/19 3:20 am
Good Sunday Morning, friends! I have been up for hours, and finally decided to get up and start this day. I have a bunch of work I need to do to prepare for the week, so I may as well get it over with...
Yesterday's woodworking class was good. The teacher was pretty terrible but we learned a lot, nonetheless, and have some new fun projects to try. I am excited to get into the shop today and keep going with it today :)
QOTD: Do you decorate outside for the holidays? I am determined to at least put up all of the wreaths this year, but that's all. Grim has done some fancy things with lights in the past, but we definitely don't have time to do that this year.

Good morning, everybody!
I didn't get to post yesterday. The 5-K was pretty early, and then we had a workout for Toys For Tots at Crossfit. And after those, the naps started. But more importantly, I now have antlers and a Rudolph nose. Definitely made getting up early and running in the cold worthwhile.
Baylor couldn't get it done against Oklahoma yesterday. And with that, DD's last football game as an undergraduate is over. Over the four years, she made it to 27 of the 28 home games plus two Bowl games, the Big 12 championship and a smattering of away games. The one miss was for a Taylor Swift concert.
Today is mostly about Christmas shopping for me. I also have to get caught up at work, but I'm hoping to do that tonight.
QOTD: For the last two years, we have had a service come and decorate. Since its the only time of the year that we have all three kids home, I like the house to look festive.
Breakfast: Sausage
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Hamburger
Snack: Light andFit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

I keep going to Lowe's and admiring that arch of white light. I have not decorated outside in years, because I no longer have a husband to do that and don't trust myself on ladders. I worry about breaking a hip when I am outside cleaning windows or gutters. Your display is beautiful. Do you normally have that much snow?

I just enjoy watching what my neighbors do to decorate. In the evening, I go to the door with my cat and she is fascinated watching the lights on houses. One neighbor put twinkle lights on their outdoor trees and keep them on every night until June.
They were pretty, but I think nobody wanted to go out and take them down. I see they have not put them up this year. I can imagine the ladder climbing needed for that wreath, but it definitely balances out the house and makes it look very Christmasy.

Mornin' All!
we went to this tavern out in the country (c. 10-15 miles away) last night to hear a great bluegrass band. They were really fantastic and I had a great time - I haven't done anything like that in YEARS. We left at 11:00 p.m. I could have stayed longer (they were still playing), but it seemed like a good time to go home (old people, you know...). Not much going on today. I'm going to see a midcentury office chair later this morning that I hope will pair well with a 1950's teak desk I bought a couple of months ago, and I signed up for an evening yoga class. I really need to get some cardio in today, too. I'm feeling really sluggish and bloated again today. I HATE THIS!!
speaking of which, I think I'm going to try low-carbing the next few days. I really need to get back on track, and I've got a couple of minefield weeks coming up. This week alone, I have three lunch events, one breakfast event, and two parties next Saturday night (but I'm going to just pick one of them - esp since one is a cookie party - that sounds like a bad idea all the way around...). I somehow have to get through these next couple of weeks with my eating and weight in check. AND I WILL DO IT!!!
QOTD: we don't decorate at all - inside or out. Scrooges!
4+ years out:
B: one-egg omelet with sausage/cheese/bell pepper/tomato, coffee with half & half
L: cottage cheese or turkey patty
AS: L&F yogurt (maybe with some tahini mixed in)
D: chicken sausage
have a great day, everyone!!
Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in and will do more later today. QOTD we don't decorate either as our holiday is spent at the in laws and she does enough decorating for us all! Accountability was perfect yesterday both food and stepwise and weight is 120.4 today. Here's the food plan for the day B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1 slice thin crust meat pizza D3/4 c chili with cheese S if needed L&F yogurt shared with Miss Lily of course! Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone!
