What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
on 12/5/19 3:35 am
Good Morning! I just finished my one day work streak, and I am off again today...yessss! Today is our annual trip to the Concord Cheese Parade. If anyone has watched the Gilmore Girls, this is the type of thing you would see in Stars Hallow--a big parade for a giant wheel of cheese that is flown in from Italy. There are horses, Revolutionary War Minutemen, "Little Miss Cruculo", a proclamation from the Mayor, etc... This is small town living at its best :) Plus there is a giant wheel of fancy Italian Cruculo cheese cut up, and distributed at the end! This is the 10th annual parade, so I am excited to see what they will come up with the year. Last year they flew in the family who makes the cheese from Italy. It was adorable. Anyway--that's happening this afternoon, followed by a drive to NH to see Annie tonight on stage. I am going to be exhausted tomorrow, but the whole day should be awesome and worth it.
Accountability: Good! I had a few crackers last night, but promptly threw them away. I didn't get much exercise, though--way too cold, windy and slippery for walking yesterday.
I am posting some accountability for my cats, too, who were very naughty! They got into the unopened bag of dry food last night! Bad kitties!
QOTD: Does your town have any fun annual traditions/fairs/etc? Besides the Cheese Parade, we have a ton of Revolutionary War reenactment events that happen every year. And Grim and I live right around the corner from a really big week long summer fair.
I am not going to post a full menu because we will be eating out for most of the day. I will try to make good choices and hopefully do a lot of walking, too!
P.S. Don't forget the decade challenge tomorrow for Photo Friday! A pic of you in 2009 and 2019!

Good morning, everybody!
Quick post from today - have to be in work early. We have an all hands meeting in our office at 8:00 and it doesn't end until a happy hour tonight. The thought of staying late on a cold, dark night doesn't make me particularly happy, though. How about an everybody go home and read by the fire and Christmas tree hour?
QOTD: My favorite is Chili Fest. About 15 restaurants downtown participate. We went this year, but forgot to vote.
meals are kind of up in the air because of the meeting, but:
Breakfast: Bacon and eggs
Snack: Yogurt
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: nuts
Dinner: Some sort of appetizers
Have a great day, all!

Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in and will do more later today. Weight today is 120.6. QOTD no exciting things to do in our tiny town. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chili with cheese D sm piece breakfast pizza S probably not needed. Lots of fluids as I only hit 80 ounces yesterday and not the 100 I like to reach. Have a wonderful day full of smart choices! Time for coffee!
hi all
QOTD: hmmm since i live in a zillion towns now, I'm not sure how to answer that. The town in GA has a marble festival since they are the miners of pink marble, pretty rare and several of the buildings are made from it. Google the Tate house, tate GA for reference. The other nearby town has a moonshine festival since they (not NC) are the birthplace of nascar. Chase Elliot lived down the road from our old house. Then Dahlonega GA has the gold rush festival- start of the gold rush (apparently not CA). Not sure about Chattanooga yet except they sponsor iron man competition.
food accountability: it was DH's birthday. I did have 1 slice of pizza with salad. it was really yummy, I also ate 1 bite of his mousse cake. it was also very good. I did NOT get all my water in. so more more water today.
food:
mushrooms and ground chicken
romaine
not sure what else
gym day- have not been as consistent here on my workouts but these last 3 weeks have been a little hard.
