2.5 years after my RNY and 2 years after my GB removal I got diagnosed with severe allergies to dairy. Whey worse than casein, but even that is not good.
I cried when I was told that I can't eat any cheese, no milk, yogurt, when proteins, etc... It was so bad that when I had any dairy (i.e. small serving of cheese, or 1/2 yogurt, etc) I would lose my voice, or my voice became very strained, like in case of a severe laryngitis. Typically my voice would return after 36- 48 hours of no dairy. I abstained completely for at least 3 years, and slowly the antibodies to dairy in my system dropped. I still have a severe allergy to most dairy with whey, but I can have some cheese, once in a while (not even weekly) and I can tolerate that. I used to live on dairy. From the time I was a child. The more aged the cheese, the better my body tolerates it.
Symptoms of dairy allergies started app a few months after the GB removal. I am not sure it is connected to that, but who knows. I started to have some other health issues app 12 months post op RNY and 6 months post op GB removal.

"Failure is not falling down, It is not getting up once you fell... So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again...."
Oh no, that sounds awful. I can't imagine life without cheese or yogurt, my beloved Greek yogurt.
Although I gotta say losing my voice for 36-48 hours might be appealing to my husband!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
It is so nice you get us started every morning JB. You always have great memes for us to ponder. I despise my bingo wings but I really don't think I want to go through another surgery just for vanity. I wear them like a badge of honor they reminds me where I was and how far I have come.
Today I will be at the gym because I have not been there since last Tuesday. Why does life always get in the way of the gym. Before surgery my retirement plan was to lay on the couch, eat potato chips, drink beer, and watch soap operas all day. It has now changed to having more time in the gym.
I have an appointment this evening at 7:00 PM to see a Pelvic therapist? I am not sure I ever heard of this type of therapy but he is supposed to be able to help relieve my tailbone pain. Mine is very severe and with sitting at a desk for 8 hours it has not got any better. I am hoping this will help.
QOTD: Hell NO! I have at least 5 on the list of names I am not fond of.
Accountability. I guess it was good last night I was hungry I guess so I grabbed a yogurt before bed.
