What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Hi my RnY kindred! Happy December!
Here on the island outside Seattle we haven't had any snow, just some intermittent drizzle. The cloud cover isn't too dark and gloomy today, thank goodness. That makes me happy! It's been cold though, definitely winter coat, scarf and gloves weather. Yet some nutty Seattlites are still wandering around in t-shirts, flip flops and bare feet! It boggles the mind. Such crazy hardiness!
I got sick on Saturday night, a result of having chewed too many pieces of sugar-free gum. I don't know if it was sweetened with sorbitol, xylitol, manitol, or what, but wow did it mess me up. Yesterday I stayed in bed all day trying to shake the terrible headache which settled in after the gastric upset phased out. I still have a bad headache today. I am out of Tylenol but will go to the store to buy some when I've finished posting. How I miss being able to use Excedrin for Migraines! That medicine was true magic! Tylenol is an incompetent poser in comparison, but it is better than nothing. I wasn't able to eat yesterday and haven't yet today. I hope the Tylenol helps. The good news is I'm back down to 126 pounds, my goal! The only good thing about being sick, ever, is the weight loss. Now to carefully maintain.
QOTD: I adored playing in the snow! We lived in upstate NY (tons of snow****il I was 5, and then moved to NJ (also tons of snow). Sledding was a fierce joy! We lived on a hill in NJ, and when conditions were especially bad the street would be closed at the top and we would sled down the street itself. Fun! Snow forts, snowball fights, snow angels, snowmen, making snow sculptures...all are wonderful memories.
I am not posting my menu today because I'm really not sure if I'll be up to eating. I should though. Maybe I'll try some protein powder, warmed up.
Have a wonderful day, my friends!
Hi everybody,
I just started the 2nd week of my 2 week vacation. We're not doing anything special, just getting a lot of things done around the house and doing all of our Christmas shopping. Today I'm making a big pot of turkey bone broth!
QOTD: I used to love the snow. We would make igloos and have snow ball fights. We would go sledding until we couldn't feel our feet and hands. Now I hate it, especially with having to get staff coverage when someone calls out of work because they see a darn snow flake!
