What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Please let me know how the avocado cups were, I had them in my hand the last time I was at Costco!

They are not as good as fresh, perfectly ripe avocado, scraped out of the skin.
BUT, they are great for two reasons. 1. Recently the avocados "seem" ripe and are stringy and/or brown inside. 2. Portion control!
So I am a fan for those two reasons. It's not an exact replacement though since fresh avocado will always be better.
Good morning JB and Menuers:
Glad the sleep thing went well for you. I never had trouble sleeping before WLS but now I wake up so much and can't get back to sleep. Wonder why.
Lots of good post today. Glad to see everyone up and about.
QOTD: I have a teaching degree in Cosmetology and I love the art of Hair color if that counts. And I think I am artistic when it comes to food. I make a really mean cheesecake and usually make sure it's got eye appeal.

Hello everyone!
things haven't been going rather well. Physical therapy is hurting more than helping for the most part. Not damaging but the stretching often really hurts and I end up wobbling around afterward. They think my doctor should do an MRI...we'll see if that happens in December! Ha!
one of the friends I've had the longest is in a situation that I've been struggling with. It's a long story but she is basically waiting to die...and wanting it too. I've let it run along in my brain's narrative too long. I've had to step back from it.
my eating had been poor, to say the least. I've decided to do a brain reset and have soft & liquid foods for a few days. I know it does nothing much for the pouch but my brain needs it.
qotd: there is so many different kinds of art and I do consider myself artistic in a few areas. I have made journals, thread crochet, beading and now chainmaille for over 15 years. I've created my own designs and tutorials that are popular within the community. I'm very proud of it but still don't think I'm that good.

Good luck getting the MRI and working through the PT; it's tough but you can do tough stuff!! It sounds like you know the difference between "it hurts because it has to" and "it hurts because i just did something damaging" and that's key!

When I had back surgery a few years ago, the physical therapists always used a heating pad before we started doing any exercises. It helped me a lot to have everything warm before the stretching. They also used Biofreeze. It can get painful, but I was amazed how the right stretching and exercise could make me so much stronger.
