Good morning everybody!
Kelly, I hope that your last day before vacation goes smoothly.
We have to do a carefully orchestrated dance tonight:
1) The boys need to go to Nordstrom 6:30 and get their suits fitted,
2) It's Brent Seabrook bobblehead give away night at the Blackhawks tonight, The game starts at 7:30, but doors open at 5:00 or so
3) The boys don't drive
4) I need to be in the city because I am interviewing somebody this morning
So the plan is this. I print out both hockey tickets. I leave one ticket for Marilyn and take one. I leave work early and get into line as soon as allowable at the United Center for a Bobblehead. As soon as I get my Bobble head, I leave the game and head back toward Nordstrom. Yes, my free Bobblehead will cost $24 in parking and an early departure from work.
Meanwhile, Marilyn needs to pack up the boys, her one ticket, and their shirts (the shirts were sent directly to the house but will need to have the sleeves fitted) and head to Nordstrom. She will drop off the boys and continue onto the game. She will not be able to get a second bobblehead because it will be too late when she gets to the game.
Hopefully, I will already be at Nordstrom to gather the boys and shepherd them through the fitting process so that they are not left to wander through the mens department on their own.
Finally, we try on the suits to make sure the alterations worked, get the shirts fitted and get out. Fortunately, the store closes at 8:00, so this appointment can only last for an hour and a half. (the last one was four hours)
During our last appointment, my shopper asked if the boys like to do fun things with socks. If by "fun things with socks" she meant take their shoes off in the car to make the other one gag, then the answer to that question would be yes.
DD is hosting a tailgate brunch this weekend for the Baylor/Texas football game. Her menu so far appears to be breakfast tacos, Red Velvet Cake flavored Bailey's and cookies.
QOTD: Unfortunately, no. Did you ever see the little books that the Bronte sisters wrote as children?
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Pork
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBS
Have a great day, all!

No, Chicago has inbound traffic pretty much 24 hours a day, so if I left the store at 8:00 and brought the boys home, I wouldn't get back into the city until 9:00 at the very earliest.

it was great seeing my cousins! We pretty much stayed in Wheaton the whole time, though. Wish I would have had time to get together with you as well (I was staying with one of my cousins, so it would have been hard to leave). You did pop into my mind, though! We had lunch at Ivy, which was very good. We also spent time at the public library (have been there many times before) doing family history stuff and ran over to the DuPage County Historical Museum (both of them were born in DuPage County (Elmhurst)). And of course, we had dinner Saturday night at Cooper's Corner. The cousin I was staying with ALWAYS wants to go there! But that's fine...
