What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Respectfully, that is my opinion. I understand the possibility that her disability could not have been visible to me, I live in a small area and have seen this cashier on multiple occasions. She was walking without impediment, works on her feet, and was working on her feet when I left the store. I just feel this space could be used for someone in dire need. There are different levels of need. Not judgmental, the situation as I presented made me feel like the prime handicap space could have been used by someone that was not as mobile.

Good morning JB and menu friends! JB, sorry about your eyes and I hope that the relaxing day helped them. I saw that you enjoyed Trevor Noah's show saturday, he's so funny. I was looking at People's sexiest man issue last night and he won for Sexiest Comedian.
My weekend was good - saw the Monet exhibition at the Denver Art Museum -- so many amazing paintings; then had lunch with a girlfriend, got in a good workout, had lunch with my mom on Sunday, and did a lot lot of laundry that I will have to fold tonight. I have a bit of a break in the afternoon so I'm sneaking out for a pilates class (one of the front desk ladies just got her teaching certification and this is her only "assigned" class so far -- it's a cardio jump 1 but i figure she'll be gung ho and it will be fun); then I have an eye doctor appt tonight.
QOTD - loud chewers, people that listen to their devices without headphones and people that stand too close to me.
Menu today is 3 coffee + half and half; then all the water.
B - carb master cottage cheese
L - 3 oz ever roast deli chicken, .8 oz cheddar cheese slice
D - half left over bison cheese burger and asparagus from lunch yesterday
S - L&F greek (frozen)
Have a magnificent monday everyone!

Good morning,
Quiet weekend for us. I did go see the movie Harriet, which I enjoyed but not sure I would call it a must-see. I ate popcorn, and nothing else for the rest of the day. Not a good move. Like you JB, I will never learn!
QOTD-1. When the window blinds are crooked. 2. when the cars are parked on the street in the no parking zone outside my office building adding about 15 minutes to my commute!
B-Grapefruit sections
L-Deli turkey and muenster cheese
D-Air fryer chicken breast and brussel spouts
S-pb crackers and apple
E-Boot camp done this morning!

I've heard some pretty mixed reviews on Harriet, like they had to add a "white guy saves Harriet" plot line. Given how eventful her life was, I'm astonished they felt they had to add anything.

its an incredible story of courage, and I don't want to say anything to take anything from that, but I do think they could have focused a lot more on Harriet's leadership without the white guys involvement...and I would have like to see more of the actual stops on the "railroad". There is a church nearby where I live that was a stop on the underground railroad and I have gone to several of the presentations that they have done and have found them to be so informative and interesting--moreso than the movie and on a MUCH smaller budget!!!
Mornin' All!
hopefully a quick one because I need to head to water aerobics. Great weekend with cousins in the Chicago area, but TOO MUCH EATING. Alarm bells went off big time when I stepped on the scale this morning. My weight is higher than it's been in ages. It's probably mostly due to all the restaurant eating I've done the last week. As in...almost every day. Thank God there is none of it this week. I'm having lunch at a friend's house today, but she's making a chicken/veggie stirfry and I'm supposed to bring fruit, so I should be able to keep a lid on things. After that, there's nothing all week. It should be easy enough to gain control over this again - right? I AM ON IT!! It's especially important given we're headed into the holiday season. UGH!
QOTD: people who forget to turn their blinkers off after they've turned - esp on a highway when I have to follow them for miles. People who talk so much I can't get a word in edgewise (I generally like talkers because I'm not one - but...enough is enough!!). People who chew with their mouths open.
4+ years out:
B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt, cooked & diced 1/2 apple, SF syrup, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: chicken/vegetable stirfry, some kind of fruit
AS: L&F yogurt and/or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt dip
D: fish taco
I bought a box of those Keto "fat bombs" by Slimfast when I was in Chicago. I may try one today if I start craving food. I'd kind of like to try the whole Keto thing for awhile, to be honest.... Fat really seems to do the trick.
hi all- I'm BACK!!!! vacation was good- only gained 2 pounds which is a miracle! the ship was very good about sugar free desserts made with equal and Splenda so yayyyy
QOTD:
people that talk on their cells on speaker
people that stop in the middle of the isle or area for no reason- usually they are on their cell
I'm out of ideas but MANY things annoy me lol
Good morning, happy Monday!
QOTD - Crappy drivers, oblivions (people who only consider themselves, and are oblivious to others), and people who ask me "but where do you get your protein" when they find out I'm vegan.
Breakfast - uuuugh, just coffee and hot tea, waiting for my IF to complete at 11am.
Lunch - Homemade veggie soup, lettuce/tomato sandwich
Snack - No Cow energy bar, coconut and chocolate. 6oz V8, rice roller with banana peanut butter.
Dinner - Beyond burger taco, with lettuce, tomato and some vegan cheese.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

OMG that meme is ME. I first woke up at 5 am and was like "hell no" because I have to present on a webinar tonight from 11-12 for our Asia-Pacific region. Luckily I fell back asleep and then at 8 am when I woke up I was like ohhhh nooooo.
I have so many answers to the QOTD ha ha. If I had to choose 3, I would say (like many of you): people who use their devices in public to facetime/talk/watch videos/listen to music without headphones. How is that not clearly inappropriate?! Also, I am beyond irate about these new electric scooters in cities. Not only are Americans going to get fatter and fatter (why walk or bike when you can stand and do nothing?) but my biggest pet peeve is that they are not docked in one area - people leave them literally in the center of a sidewalk. It really makes me worry about the future of our society if people literally don't think there is something wrong with just dropping a scooter in the middle of a sidewalk, inconveniencing all others. And finally, not to be political, but people who don't think a leader who cheats, lies and bullies others is a horrible, horrible human being.
Off my soapbox now ;)
B: 3 oz ever roast chicken 2 oz cheddar cheese
L: Leftover Blue Apron weigh****chers meal - garlic jasmine rice, chicken breast with lime and monterrey jack cheese, sautéed red onions and peppers
D: Another Blue Apron meal - I think it's cod and potato wedges and brussels sprouts. All of the potatoes for Kris.
S: Mini peppers dipped into greek yogurt with ranch seasoning
Have a fabulous day, everyone!
you know you just described most politicians, right?
