What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
on 11/11/19 2:04 am
...or because it's a 3 day weekend! Woot! I'm up, though... whatever...
What are you all up to today? Grim and I are getting on the road early and heading up to NH. We are starting the day at a lumber yard that specializes in exotic wood scraps, and then going to Portsmouth to do some Christmas shopping in all the adorable shops.
Accountability: I am officially back into ketosis! It took a week to kick the sugar and carb demon, but last night I actually made 4 giant calzones out of pizza dough, and didn't have a bite. I made myself a chaffle and used that as a base for my keto pizza. I was completely satisfied and happy.
QOTD: Happy Veterans' Day! Who are the vets in your life? Grim's brother is a big deal in the Navy--Rear Admiral, currently commanding the Standing NATO Maritime Group One. On my side of the family, my uncles, cousins and now my cousin's kids are West Point grads. Some have stayed in the Army after their service, and one of my cousins is now a professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology, after earning his PhD in nuclear science!
I am not posting a full menu today, because I just don't know much about what happens in the middle of the day... but here is what I know...

Good morning, everybody! We have a covering of snow here in Chicago.
JB - do they still have Poco Diablo's up in Portsmouth? We used to go for margaritas and nachos when Marilyn worked there. But its been 20 years, so I know that things change. UPDATE: Googled it and its still there, but just called "Poco's" now.
