What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
on 11/4/19 1:51 am
Hey Menu Peeps! What's the haps on this dark and cool November morning? I had a really nice relaxing weekend. I got my errands done, went to Target (always a win!), did some woodworking projects, and watched some TV & movies. I definitely haven't had a more relaxing few days in ages, which is good because I have a very busy week ahead...
Accountability: I still haven't managed to have a completely compliant day in over a week, but every day is just slightly better than the day before, so I am inching towards being a good RNYer again. I had a few mini-Twix throughout the day, yesterday, and we went out for Tacos last night (yayayay!), where I had about 1/3 of a Margarita.
QOTD: Do you have a good sense of direction? I never really even learned my left from right, let alone N, S, E & W! Sometimes Grim will have me guess which direction we are headed and I don't think I have ever gotten it right before the 4th try, hahaha. My whole family is Army based and they all think it's funny that I don't understand how a compass can help you. Bur seriously--okay so I am lost in the woods. Who cares where N is? I need walking directions to the nearest Taco Bell, otherwise, that thing is useless...
Ok, this is a great menu and I think I can stick to it, dammit!

Morning! The time change means I was up even earlier than normal. I don't actually hate that though. I fell asleep about 8:30 last night, so I got plenty of sleep. Although, I woke up a bunch of times last night. I went to run club yesterday and ran 5 miles, made a delicious pot roast, and also made vanilla pound cake. I only had a bite of the cake because my blood sugars have been "meh" this week. That normally happens when I'm fighting off an illness and I have my half marathon this coming Sunday, so I'm pumping the Vitamin C just in case!
QOTD: I have no sense of direction. When the GPS says "Head East on such & such" you can bet that I'm just going where I'm going until it tells me turn a specific direction.
My Food:
- Pre-Breakfast: Coffee w/ Cream x2
- Breakfast: English Muffin, Egg, Cheese, Sausage

Good morning all! So guess who set their alarm to wake up this morning, but forgot to actually turn their clock back an hour? Yep, so I'm up an hour earlier than I need to be. Oh well, I'm up now....may as well be productive! Lol
QOTD: Not really, but every time I see a compass or someone brings up directions I think of the little saying they taught us in elementary school on how to remember the order of the directions north, south, east, west. Never eat soggy waffles. That was probably the only thing I retained from school. Lol

I hate this week, post-daylight savings, when half of the clocks in your life are correct and half are wrong. So many opportunities for getting it wrong...

Good Morning! Well, another 1/2 in the books folks. I placed 3rd in gender/age group and got a PR (1:47:17). I'm a bit sore today and going to try and listen to my body this week and keep workouts a little mild as needed but I don't want to tighten up either. I'm on call for jury duty so working today and I have to call tonight after 5.
Accountability: Good, not many extras even with the marathon.
QOTD: Nope, still have to use No Eat Soggy Waffles... haha
