Ugh, my halloween is not off to a great start!
I think it actually started last night; about 5 pm I just got a horrible headache so I skipped my photography class and went to bed at 6pm. Woke up about 1 and couldn't get back to sleep so I got up and within an hour (before I was even done with coffee) I was lying on the bathroom floor in horrible stomach/diaphragm pain and that nasty salivating like when you have to vomit too. I even thought about driving myself to the emergency room but after sitting on the floor of the shower for about 20 minutes and another 20 minutes lying in the hottest bathtub I can stand, the acute pain is gone...now I just feel tired and sore. No idea what that what...honestly, the last time I had pain like that, I ended up in the hospital for a week because my gallbladder had burst and there were gallstones lodged everywhere (seriously, everywhere...the bariatric surgeon even removed one that he found and my rny surgery was in 2018 and my gallbladder was done in 2001).
Anyway, I'm feeling better now and am going into the office so I can wear my costume!
No more coffee for me today and I think I'll stick to light/easy to digest foods so hot tea and water, some cottage cheese and yogurt and maybe a PP to keep my protein up.
QOTD - this is my first Halloween in this house and I'm hoping there will be a lot of kids; there are a lot in the neighborhood and I'm ready with two GIANT bags of candy that I don't care for (nerds, sweet tarts, twirlers, gummy bears mix). My neighbors across the street has little kids and they decorated for Halloween over Labor Day weekend, so I know they will be coming at least!
Have a spooktacular day everyone!

You should think about a follow up. Your night seems to terrible to ignore. At least put a call in to see what your surgeon thinks. I am glad your feeling better. Thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Oh no Jen, please go and get checked out. That seems scary. Especially since it's not like you had just eaten too much dense protein and it was stuck and gave you the foamies. I hoe that doesn't happen again! And btw you're either a trooper or insane for waking up at 1 am, surviving a terrible attack, and then going into work!!!
Sorry to hear about your rough night, Jen.
