Glad you got some good sleep last night!
My mom had macular degeneration too during the last couple of years of her life, and she became quite profoundly blind. I took her for several of those awful injections. Not sure they helped, but perhaps she retained slightly more central vision as a result - I don't know. I always had to approach her gently when coming to her from the side, as she couldn't see me coming and would be startled by my sudden appearance. Since this condition is frequently inherited, I am concerned about my own vision in the future, especially as I'm not sure if the preventative vitamin therapies for this can be sufficiently absorbed. Also, I'm an artist. I'd better get a lot of painting done over this next 20 years!
Good morning, everybody!
So late yesterday afternoon we get an email from one of the colleges that my middle son applied to saying that they have a special message for him. Marilyn goes upstairs at about 6:00 to tell him about it and he is asleep. Says that he will wake up at 8:00. When 8:00 comes around he is still asleep. As I am going to bed at 10:30, I see his light is on and tell him to check his account. He says he will but is playing a videogame with his friends.
Marilyn comes up at 11:00. Finally, he tells her that he got accepted but can't talk about it because he is busy with the game. We fall asleep without any details. At 3:37 AM he texted his coffee order without any further details. He is asleep now.
We have snow on the ground today - just enough to cover the grass. It doesn't look like driving will be affected.
QOTD: Not really.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Pork
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

Jim, you have no idea how jealous I am of your son having sent in the application and having been accepted. In other words, a normal life. Enjoy it and roll with it!

OH keeps eating my posts for some reason but I'll try again today.
I've been working from home again this week and have a follow-up with a cardiologist tomorrow morning. Really hoping that we can figure out what to do next to get me feeling better and my heart stabilized. Still having unexplained fainting periods that aren't related to changing position, exertion or anything else that I can identify. If you get a chance, look at my other post about my Iron numbers, please.
DW is really struggling with a new med and feeling really horrible. We see the neurologist again on Friday and we'll have to see what he thinks. It's supposed to prolong the deterioration of the Parkinson's but this is nasty.
