Moooooooorning everyone! Oh boy I am tired. Last night's Nick Offerman show was great, but I am really not used to coming home so late, and then I didn't sleep well, so I am feeling it this morning. Ooomph.

I am so happy to have a quiet, chill day in the office. I think I might only have one meeting all day? Yessss! I have a ton of projects to burn though, and this feels like a perfect day to cocoon in my cubicle and not talk to anyone.

Accountability: Didn't eat any of my lunch (I hate my busy back to back meeting days on Wednesdays!), but had 1/2 a burger, a handful of fries, and an apple cider sangria at dinner.

QOTD: Do you have any superstitions? I really don't believe in any, but I do find myself following along with common superstitions we have all heard about... like finding a penny brings you luck, or not walking under ladders. And my best friend broke a mirror the night before her wedding (I know!) and that was a terrrrrible marriage! But let's face it, it was doomed before she broke the mirror and we all know it...

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

It was a quiet evening for me last night as DH was in Philadelphia for some kind of electric expo. Max and I played in the yard and I got the camper partially packed and ready to head out on Friday for our last trip of the season. I just have a few things to add this evening and we will be all set.

Accountability: okay but room for improvement

QOTD: I am not superstitious.

B: low sugar oatmeal

L: sausage with fried onions

D: pork chop with Brussel sprouts and a small sweet potato

Good morning everyone. This is going to be a super short post as I sip on my protein shake. I have so much to do at work today since I got behind yesterday because my computer decided to crash on me. Sigh...it's always something.

QOTD: I always had the usual superstitions growing up like finding a penny brought luck, however, it was always a penny on heads. If it wasn't we didn't touch it. Lol. I also used to have a black cat even though I believed in that superstition. He was one of the best cats!

B: premier shake

B2:coffee w/Splenda

L: roast beef and cheese roll up

D: salmon and veggies

Love the photo to start off our Thursday morning. I had to laugh at your account of what happened (well not really that but your response about superstition vs. "well we all knew"), lol

QOTD - I am not superstitious but I find word and tradition origin history fascinating as well as finding it fun to find a penny to break up whatever monotony is dragging me along when I am like, "oooh, shiny good luck!" ;)

I won't be posting much Accountability food wise for the next month or so but probably more like, "doing what I need to be doing" as far as vitamins, meds, protein, fluids, etc. I feel and broke my jaw in 2 places on Monday evening, along with breaking and chipping some teeth that can't be repaired until the 6-8 weeks following the process of what happened Monday. I am so frustrated but I know now it is even more important to get protein, vitamins and fluids in and when the Dr. asked if I could do the liquids, purees I just laughed at him at first, (because few people who have not been through the pre and post op phases of bariatric surgeries can understand how REAL the struggle is, imo). I am a bit sad at the set back and the thought of the dental stuff I will be facing terrifies the heck out of me because I am pretty scared of being in that hot seat and now I will have to not only go to the dentist, but a dental surgeon multiple times.

My progeny as well as myself seem to be supernatural butterfingers :/

Oh my gosh!! That sounds absolutely horrible, I hope you are not in too much pain. It is good that you will be comfortable with the purées and soft foods, but wish you didn't have to deal with that!

It is not a fun feeling right now. The national pain medication crackdown in the USA anyway, combined with no NSAIDs has made/I suspect will make it harder. I have tried ice packs and some tylenol but if we proceed to oral surgery the promise of a comfortable recovery in any sense... I am anxious. I am supposed to host the holidays this year and I think that is also creeping into my frustration when I was finally at a point where I felt like I had this whole food thing. Ah Life, tricky, tricky ;) I am getting on Eggface's blog and Pinterest to help make the most out of this nutritionally and to help keep from "fear of missing out"; if we are blessed, there will always be later for a particular food, right? I can't believe I am so terrified of dental pain after surviving natural childbirth at one point in my life. The irony.

It is nice to have people here on OH for support. I know many of us have dealt with post op medical issues from time to time and come out the other end better for it in one way or many. Let's drink to that! (water for me!)

I'm sorry for your accident, that sounds horrible and painful!

You can still be prescribed narcotic pain relief, just not for an extended period of time. I had wisdom teeth removed early this year - no comparison to your pain - but was given 3 days supply each time which was more than enough.

Maybe dentists have more leeway? I'm sure where you live might play into it too.

I hope you get relief and heal well
