Bowel Seems to "Fill" Up

Trying to figure out my system.

As I eat during day my bowel Seems to "fill up" and mid morning will come pouring out.

If I stay mostly meat the consistency is more solid but still have the "coming out" event mid morning and often before bed.

When I feel my bowel is "full" I am very lethargic and once I evacuate I "feel" better.

Am I overeating for what my new system can handle?

I'm already 137lbs on 5'10" frame and bordering on being underweight as a 50 yr old male.

Feedback appreciated.

What do you mean by "pouring out"? Like involuntarily?

Your continued unexplained weightloss would concern me if it were me and I would be scheduling an appt with a gastroenterologist and endocrinologist to see if this is physiological. A full physical and blood workup with a CT scan might be in order.

None of this sounds normal and if you are concerned, you need to be proactive.

Thanks for the note.

The pouring out is controllable but once I feel like the bowel if full and I use the bathroom I'm usually there 15 min or so with the bowel fully evacuating.

I always feel relief and the lethargy is largely lifted.

I think I may be putting way too much in the tank and the body can't process it all.

I keep reading that many people lose much lower than goal and then rebound.

I'm at month 31 post op.

You have lost 5lbs in a week. Unless you have an eating disorder, this is a lot to lose at 31 months.

I would go see those specialists.

Your old stomach was like a big blender that held the food and churned it into a smooth paste before sending it to the intestines. Now you have a tiny stomach that cannot process the food as well so there is more volume when it goes to the intestines. That results in larger and heavier bowel movements.

Maybe check for malabsorption issues. If the digestive tract cannot process the food, your body will not get the benefit. If stools are very pale, greasy, or super floaters- these are symptoms. Unintended weight loss is always a reason to see a professional.
