ha that is funny- and true...

weekend went well, did house stuff, got oil changed and tires balances and rotated and an alignment. use the gym at the car place for art 1 of my workout then did second part yesterday up here in Chattanooga. it was a looong workout.

so focusing today on lots of water. stopped by the earth fare and got those spring roll wrappers that are 46 calories for 3 so made up some interesting looking shrimp rolls for later. also my chicken came out dry so I added some nonfat greek yogurt and spices to it so it doesn't feel like it is stuck in my throat.

no thoughts on QOTD-

chicken and shrimp on menu today

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! I am back from my trip but took today off to have a day at home. I have the home inspector coming to do a top to bottom check so I can give my home builder a final list to fix before my 12 month warranty is up in January, I also have a Pilates class, a bunch of amazon returns and a bunch of random errands.

Nashville was fun, really enjoyed the concert I travelled for! Loved the Johnny Cash Museum and we did a tour at a historical horse breeding plantation called Belle Meade. We specifically did the tour called Journey to Jubilee which focused on the experience of the enslaved people from the time of the founding through emancipation, into the early 1900s. That they could trace the descendants of their pride stud horse through recent Kentucky Derby winners like American Pharoah but lost track of where the enslaved cemetery was pretty much says it all. Learning some of the challenges the historians doing this important work face was very interesting to me. Downtown Nashville was a little too bourbon street, groups of roaming drunks for me, though.

qotd - one of my coworkers husband had the band and it seemed like magic.

accountability - over the weekend I had a biscuit and a moon pie. Did you know, a single moon pie is 3 servings? I ate it that way too! I regret nothing but am back on plan starting today.

menu today is coffee with cafe latte premier (I ordered this entirely on Sheila's recommendation and a great choice that was!)!

b - cin raisin cottage cheese

l - real good foods poppers

d - 3 oz ever roast and 1 oz cheese

s l&f greek

have a lovely Monday!

I haven't had a moon pie in forever but I recall liking the banana ones (fake banana flavoring and all).

Chattanooga is home of the moon pie- there is evena general store here where you can get fresh ones.

I liked to heat them up and eat the marshmallow first.

I never knew that about moon pies. How is that possible. That just seems wrong, lol. Thank god moon pies are not a temptation for me. Thanks for the reminder to read those labels!

Happy Monday kiddos!

I brought my dog to work with me (one of them) so that makes Mondays a little happier.

QOTD - I always knew it as some foreign, easy way out thing. I started researching it when I hit 29, didn't pull the trigger until I was about 34.

Breakfast - frozen frui****er smoothie, tea with oatmilk

Snack - Peanut butter with a rice cake

Lunch - Not sure, working through so boss bringing in.

Snack - grapes, kale salad

Dinner - Spaghetti with vegan pesto, salad

Snack - chickpea chips with hummus, spoon of peanut butter.

Peanut butter has been my go to. Thankfully I love it!

Have a great day y'all!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Good morning JB and menu folks. Great weekend, celebrated Joddies birthday and my oldest son Alexs birthday with my Parents on Saturday night. Went to a Hibachi grill and enjoyed some saki as well...LOL...I brought my folks to the airport this morning, I was considering flying down with them to help them open their Florida home, airline prices were just too high for a two day last minute trip. We are going to plan ahead for next year, Joddie and I will be there in the spring to help them close their florida home so no worries...for now.

QOTD -I had started the process about 10 years ago , and then decided about halfway through that I was not ready. 6 years ago a friend had the sleeve and it really got me thinking about WLS again as I was at the point I had to do something, my last A1c prior to WLS was 11.2!!!

B - protein shake

S - cookie dough fat bomb - ham roll up

L - Salami and cheese

S - Cukes and dip

D - Cheeseburger soup and grilled cheese on 2 net carb "great low carb bread company " bread

E - Gym Night

Stay Healthy my friends.

Mike
