What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

This is false, of course... I would look like a potato chip this week!!!
We made it to Little Friday! Wow, we had some seriously WILD weather last night. It was a "bombogenesis" rain storm, and winds and rain were super strong. Right before midnight I heard a bang (that I assumed was one of the cats being bad) but we lost power right then. It came back on a few hours later, so I stayed awake and listed to the wind and rain pounding. I'm really not excited to go stand at the train and bus stops to get wind whipped and wet :(
Accountability: People need to stop bringing potato chips to meetings.
QOTD: Do you get a lot of emails (personal and/or work)? I used to get literally thousands of work emails a day last year (ahhhhh, it was awful). Now I get maybe 30-50? All day! It's ahhhhmazing, and inspired me to cut a lot of personal junk mail and mailing lists from my personal email.

**Adding my recommendation for the Everything But the Bagel Chaffle! It's not a bagel replacement, exactly, but it is really delish. I just added a tablespoon of Trader Joe's EBB to the mix before I cooked it :)

Oh yeah I forgot about how many filters I have on emails! In actuality, I guess I still get a few hundred a day, but so many are part of listservs that I don't need to see, so I filter them into auto folders...

Morning all! Second day back in the office with the new commute. It is longer (about an hour in and hour and a half home, door-to-door) but less hectic. I get to finish my morning crossword puzzle on the train and that's a nice way to start the day. My desk was crazy yesterday but I got through most of it and today looks a bit better, fingers crossed!
I have a 30 min chair massage scheduled for my lunch hour today. I REALLY need it because my back and neck hurt terribly--stress & lots of lifting. Then I go to the gym after work for an hour.
My new Charge 3 FitBit arrives today. I got a Charge 3 when they first came out a year ago and the info from it can still be downloaded to my phone but the watch and other displays stopped working a few weeks ago...argh!! Since I use it as a watch too, I decided that I really needed a new one. I went ahead and bought the 2 year warranty so that if it craps again, I can get it fixed or replaced.

Happy New Fitbit Day!
I like my 1.5 hour train ride, too. I can work if I want to, but I usually just listen to audiobooks and podcasts and do crosswords and relax. I had to drive yesterday and it was miserable...
