I am so sorry to hear about the spot. I had skin cancer on my face some years ago and had to have it removed. It's certainly scary. I hope that it all goes well. Hang in there - and be proud that you are keeping control of what goes in your mouth! You seem to be doing great!

Before you organize the dresser and closet, take some time to learn the Marie Kondo method. I read her book, watched on Netflix, and then lots of YouTube videos. Then I organized the closet and dresser in a way that it stays organized.

I did that in the Spring and with this method, everything has an assigned place and is so easy to put things exactly where they belong. It always looks the same. The real secret is in how you fold the clothes and then keep them organized vertically, rather than stacked.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends

So good that you include your skin checks in your self care; hopefully, this will just be a bump and they will get you all fixed up. Good job on staying in control of what you can control right now!

I am grateful they caught the melanoma but I am sorry that you have to deal with it. I know that is rough.

On another note, I miss having easy access to Trader Joes. Their stores are so great from what I remember when I lived in a larger metro

Hello JB and all! Fall has arrived in the Mid-Atlantic. After eating lunch outside by the water (Baltimore) in the sunny 70-something temps, today it is 60 and rainy.

I felt like I had something stuck between my teeth yesterday, flossed like 79 times, and then it was of course irritated, so I set up an emergency dental appointment for today, and now today it is fine, but it's a $50 fine to cancel...so wth. I suppose I will go, see if anything is up, and be mad at myself all around for being an idiot.

QOTD: Nope. I played clarinet one year and then saxophone one year...never practiced...sucked...and my mom just returned the rented instruments and gave up on me :)

B: Leftover chicken wraps

L: Ever roast! If I can get my butt to Giant on the way home from the dentist. I miss my Ever roast chicken!

D: Every Plate meal #2. They don't send enough protein for a dinner for 2, but the first meal was pretty delicious. Tonight is Greek lemon oregano chicken over rice with persian cucumber and tomato (though I don't eat tomato, and will hardly eat the rice)

E: Cardio kickboxing. I did Body Pump last night and I can feel it today!!!

Have a wonderful day! Em

That chicken dish sounds delish.

Good morning!

work has been absolutely nuts. LinkedIn launches a new version of their Recruiter product, which is the product I'm tech support for, and it's not been met with favor from our customers. There are feature gaps from the old to the new (some features that were in the old one haven't been built into the new one yet) and it's full of bugs. Our queues have been insane and angry. I'm usually not on the phone (I do email cases and live chat support) but they've needed the extra phone reps and taking so many angry calls has been super exhausting. We did have a department outing last night that our management decided NOT to cancel because they thought we needed to blow off steam. We actually shut down our live support channels for it.

We went on a hay rack ride, and bonfire. We took two wagons for the ride. Most I've been on, you sit on benches or hay bales, but in this one we were basically rolling around in the wagon on a bed of hay, which resulted in a hay-fight between our two wagons. Pics included! I had a hot dog without a bun at the bonfire--and a smore (accountability)

qotd: nope! My brothers play guitar and drums and one also plays some keyboard, but I am giftless with music.

Todays menu:

breakfast: coffee with premier

lunch: salad with 2 oz chicken

dinner: chicken ricotta meatballs--have movie plans at the Alamo Drafthouse and it's probably the friendliest thing on the menu
