Good morning, everybody!
I think that my son got his college applications done last night. There is a MasterCard text receipt from one of the colleges at 1:54 last night, half eaten pizza in the kitchen and a thank you/next steps email from another dated in the middle of last night. Also, both doors to the unfinished part of the basement are open and the lights are on. (Not sure how that relates to the applications)
I am almost afraid to ask Marilyn if it is true, for fear of jinxing myself. My other son finished unit 6 of his Biology "summer course" on Monday. He just needs to complete unit 7, take the unit 7 quiz and then take the final. It is looking like the twin goals of college applications submitted and Biology done by Thanksgiving may actually happen.
Yes, of course, I thought about eating some of the cold pizza. I had to remind myself that on food safety alone I shouldn't be eating food that has sat out for hours unrefrigerated. Oh, and plus I am a weight Loss surgery patient.
I survived Filthy Fifty more or less intact (about 37 and a half minutes) and was able to get in a few miles towards the October challenge last night. Tonight, I go to my olympic weight lifting clinic. If all goes well I will work from home tomorrow bringing to a close an eight day stretch of being super busy.
DD was able to unload her collection of sorority T-shirts on some unsuspecting Grandlittle or great grand little. I remember how excited she was to get them three years ago (and how many more there were to buy) But now she is just glad to have the space.
QOTD: Not for me. My sons played the Saxophone and the Trombone, in the junior high school band, but didn't keep up with it in high school.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein Bar

Good morning all! I know I've said before that I didn't want to get out of bed, but this morning was the worst. I'm so tired for some reason and it's raining out and extra gloomy. I think they should make a rule or something that if it's raining you don't have to go to work. Just stay in bed and get paid for it. I like that rule.
QOTD: when I was a child I took piano lessons and loved playing. I also played handbells in church. However, I don't play any instruments today.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey and cheese roll up
D: salmon and veggies
I'm very sore from working out yesterday....guess that's what happens after you've slacked off for a bit. I don't remember ever being this sore though.

Happy Wednesday! Funny, I don't remember sending you that picture of me, JB! With the water being off and on, I'm not getting my 100+ ounces and can tell. Plumber comes today, yay!
qotd - I played flute 6th to 12th grades. Not sure I ever got any better at it!
working in technology is always interesting, a private equity company made a bid for my company yesterday. If it goes through it would be my 5th time being acquired in my career (and I've been part of 3 acquisitions in that time too). Stock price is up!
i have Bookclub tonight, it was a fun little book but I'm not seeing much discussion (An Elderly Woman is Up to No Good).
menu today is coffee w half and half, tea, cottage cheese, 4 oz everroast deli chicken, baby bel and whatever nibbles I have at book club (it's always cheese, meat and a few veggies).
have a fantastic day!

I hope the plumber gets you all fixed up today.
Plumbing issues throw so many things off. I hope everything gets fixed. I am so thankful for the blessing of accessible, clean water and realize how much I take it for granted when we don't have it even for minor annoyances etc. I can't imagine a life without it.

I read some where, years ago, that the biggest barrier to education for girls in 3rd world countries is the access to clean water -- they have to spend so much time getting water that they can't go to school That really stuck with me.
