Morning Nausea
on 10/5/19 3:42 am
I get very severe nausea in the mornings. It seems to taper off as the day goes on to where it is not as bad. I have tried so many things for relief and it has been hit or miss. I don't know why my nausea has been so severe. My experience is not normal and you are pretty early post op so in your situation I would think it probably would get better. If it doesn't get better discuss it with your surgeon.
I had that for a very long time post op. Even now, over 11 years post op, I need to baby my pouch in the mornings. I have to start with warm drinks. Cold, or ice drinks, no way. Eating before my pouch is ready, nope.
I make a large thermos of warm water and keep it by my bed. Contigo thermos bottles keep drinks warm for hours. I sip that if I wake up during the night, and drink more first thing in the morning. I need to "warm up" my pouch, or else.
