What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
tomorrow!!!!
the second week we'll be at a yoga retreat, and all meals are included. They're all vegan, though, which is fine - but I'm taking some protein bars & protein powder along since I have such a high requirement (100 grams/day), and it'll be REALLY tough to get it up that high while eating vegan. The other two weeks should be OK, though. But I'm taking some extra protein for those weeks, too, just in case...
I am so excited for you! I would love to see any pictures you want to share! Let yourself enjoy that vegan week, and don't worry! One or two weeks with less protein, you will be ok. Just get right back on when you can!
Have a safe, wonderful trip!

Trish - you may be the only person who has ever said "I hope I don't gain weight while I'm in India". Safe travels and have a great time!!

Good morning y'all! Happy Friday!
QOTD - I don't, but then again I never did. I truly got such amazing support here early out, that thankfully I was able to get lots of good help and encouragement. Now, at this point going on my 11th year (in March 2020), I don't feel I would have a lot to gain from going, other than giving the "this is what it's like 10 years out" speech repeatedly as new people join. I'm happy to do that here, or if someone DMs me but not all the time. Also, I think when it comes to RNY I am one of those strange anomalies that doesn't eat meat/animal products and yet somehow, my labs are exactly as they should be. So I don't want to ever try to talk to pre-op or newly post-op and use myself as an example, lol. I experienced a lot of the possible cir****tances that come with surgery, to include everything from reactive hypoglycemia, to divorce and alcoholism. I've learned to deal with and overcome all of them (ODAT) thankfully!
Food going to be light today. Had a rough evening, forgot how much brown rice can swell up, LOL!
Breakfast - frozen fruit smoothie, celery with peanut butter - hot Earl Gray tea (my fave)
Lunch - Brown rice, made with vegan protein broth and veggies
Dinner - frozen fruit smoothie
Snack - Not sure...still not feeling those protein shakes so I may need to work on that.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Here's wishing for some cooler weather down in Texas!

G'morning everybody!
Arrived yesterday in Anaheim and met Cara!! We were supposed to meet Janet for dinner but somehow we missed her, hoping to see her at the conference. We realized we are only 2.5 miles from downtown Disney so walked to happiest place on earth for some dinner. It was great that we both needed some walking to compensate for sitting all day. For dinner we had a carne asada burger that was very flavorful. Hit the spot right. Can't wait to see what happens today.
QOTD: I go to our monthly support meetings regularly. I like the accountability although I don't see those people outside the meeting. I also present at my surgeon's seminars/workshops for WLS candidates. My way to pay it forward
I have no idea how my meals are today but I'm sure with tons of WLS people around me it will be protein forward.
Happy Fri-yay! I'll try and post pics of the costume and fashion show on Mon.
