Good morning, everyone!

My sons came home yesterday, asked for tacos, and promptly fell asleep. When I came home I had two of the ten tacos. The other eight just sat there, languid and forlorn. It would have broke your heart, JB.

I have an 8:30 dentist appointment and since I am out the door and fasting anyways, I will go to the hospital and get bloodwork. They have a drop-in clinic, where as long as you have an order, you can just show up and get a draw. It looks like I have high liver enzymes. I researched that on OH and there are ten pages of posts of people with it. My Baritrician knows its fairly common.

I may sneak over to Costco because they have snow pants for $29.99. I don't ski, but my sons like to go ice fishing and anything to keep me warm and dry on those days will help.

Gym will have to be later today. Eva today, which is absolutely brutal, so I am just going to do the scaled down version.

Breakfast: none -Bloodwork and Dentist

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Bratwurst

Snack: Jerky

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

yes - high liver enzymes are common. Rapid weight loss is really hard on livers. I had mine re-tested when i was about two years out (and my weight had been stable for a few months), and they were back in the normal range.

I think that I know that, you know that and the Dr. knows it. But she's going to make me go through a battery of tests, anyway. They took a sliver of liver when I had my surgery.

Mornin' All!

I have to leave in a few minutes to take the car in for its 30K tune up - as I recall, this is a pricey one. There's an Einstein's across the street from the car place so I may go over there and drink coffee and work on my laptop - might be better than hanging around the waiting room at the car place.

other than the car, I have some odds & ends I need to finish up. Plus I'm supposed to meet a friend for dinner.

accountable was great yesterday, but I'm up a pound. Lots of water today. And exercise!

QOTD: Nope. I've been on a few boards and committees (e.g. library boards, university governance) and know I get bored to tears with long discussions having to do with minute aspects of policies, administrivia, etc. I bet there would be a lot of that in local government. I love discussing big issues I'm passionate about, but so much of that kind of work seems to be debating insignificant aspects of things that I don't really give a hoot about, wordsmithing policies, and other administrivia. And I know some of the city council and city committee meetings in our city are LONG. As in they occasionally go well into the night. Sitting somewhere for hours on end discussing something I don't care about can be torture. Plus, as an elected official, you have to deal with people who are upset about whatever you decide. No matter what you do or how you vote, SOMEONE is going to have an issue with it. No thanks!

4 years 4 months out:

B: plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 C homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: Beyond Sausage and sauerkraut in a Flat Out Fold It wrap

D: we're meeting at the low carb cafe in town - I'm thinking the Asian meatball appetizer (I think it's four smallish meatballs - cooked in a teriyaki-like sauce)

have a good day, all!

G'morning all and happy jr Fri-yay!

My nightmare last night shows what I am most worried about when I go to Europe. The change from 110v to 220v. I have a converter that I make sure I take with me, but in my dream I had forgotten it and I was literally asking my whole family for help to charge my phone because I had to send work emails out and my phone was at 1%. My niece was charging hers and I asked her if I could used hers but she said new rule in Italy is 9v (I don't even know if that exists) and it takes an eternity to charge the phone. I was so desperate because in the next scene I was running to a meeting that I had to be calling in. Literally from Italy to Menlo Park, CA in my dream I decided I'd be going to the meeting because my phone is not charged and can't call in. I woke up so worked up that couldn't get back to sleep.

QOTD: I was on my way to become a diplomat when I changed route and married DH. So I'm all for it. Local, national, international. I am living vicariously through my daughter, hoping she goes into public life. When I saw that street in DC with all the embassies lined up, I literally wept. That was supposed to be my destiny!

Accountability: almonds and honey cashews (it's all DS's fault).

My meals for the day are all up in the air due to travel but I have epic chicken and venison in my bag + 1 quest bar.

Have a great jr Friday, everybody.

Good mrong JB and Menuers,

I am all about the meme today. I can see that happening around 3:00 today.

QOTD: I myself probably not, However my brother ran for a county seat last election against some fellows that held the office for years. I was out on the campaign trail with him and It was definitely and eye opening experience. He did not loose by much and the men who currently hold the office are in there 80's and I think if they retire they plan to support him in the next election. I would love to change jobs and work in the county level for my last years of employment till I retire. I just became a member of the Democratic League of women voter just to get my foot in the door and help with my brothers campaign when he runs again in 4 years. The only reason I chose the Democratic party is because it is dominant in my county. It does not mean I vote straight democrat or believe in everything they stand for. Just a marketing ploy at this time.

Accountability: spot on I am always on with liquids and vitamins but i stuck to my menu 100% yesterday.

TSS 1 year 9 months 22 days 140.4 lbs (Need to get back to 140.2)

B: Bariatric Advantage Iced Latte w/Miralax

MS steel cut overnight oats with vanilla protein powder and blueberry Sous Vide turkey Egg bite, Premier cheesecake bite.

Exercise: Elliptical 3 miles 1/2 hour. ( I actually went 3.25 miles yesterday in the same 1/2 hour time.)
