What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Morning all. I'm so bummed right now. Yesterday my supervisor denied my time off request. My aunt got all of us tickets to tour the biltmore estate in Asheville, made dinner reservations at a couple nice restaurants and booked our rooms. It was supposed to be a fun, long overdue girls trips. Now I can't go because we are super under staffed at work and another coworker beat me to it with getting her request in (even though I made my request over a month in advance) and they can't have both of us off at the same time. Sigh....I swear that just ruined my whole day.
QOTD: No way in hell. I'm way too introverted!
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: ham and cheese roll up
D: leftover salmon and veggies

Oh I am so sorry--that's the worst! I hope you get another chance to get away, soon. It sounds like you need it more than ever, now!

No, she's taking off the whole week because she's going out of town. I just wanted Friday off, but they can't have us both off at the same time.

Denied time off request are the worst. I was denied the first time I had scheduled bariatric surgery because someone was out on maternity leave. I chickened out anyway but I thought that was crappy of my company to deem my surgery as an elective and not a necessity.
HW 299 SW 290 CW 139 GW 140 2/08/2019 OPERATION: Surgical Hernia with excision of total surface area of 55 x 29 cm of abdominal skin.
I was denied my time off for my surgery as well because they said it was elective.

It's my Friday! So I can throw papers in the air lol! We fly out tomorrow morning and since I was on a plane home from San Francisco all day Monday, it's a "stuff five days of work into three" kind of week. Oy.
I had such a lovely dinner last night with an old college friend. We shared a cheese plate and an avocado and crab toast.
QOTD: I feel like I should, since that would allow us to BE the change and not just hope for change. But between work and travel and trying to go to the gym and having the kids do much, I just don't see it fitting in. I vote, always, though!
Still no food in the house. So today we are really scraping the barrel. I ended up making egg salad for lunch yesterday, so today I will switch to tuna salad.
B: coffee with half and half and sugar free hazelnut syrup. Maybe like 4 string cheese?
L: tuna salad with mayo and onion and maybe a few chips
D: AmyLu chicken sausage on the grill and a side of Cajun pasta for Kris (a few bites for me)
E: this week is a wash. I suck.
Have a fab day, everyone!
