What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Raccoons are not your friend. Between the raccoon and the squirrels I got 3 strawberries. I have to say the raccoon was cute and definitely not afraid of me. I used to have them coming in my cat door for the cat food. I installed a cat door that I can close, they were so offended that they ripped up the plastic flap and I needed to replace it, then they did it again and I haven't replaced it. I should since the winter is almost here, frost warnings for this week and the first snowfall in the mountains.
QOTD- I wish I could say I have something planned but without PTO it is hard to be able to do anything. I really need a vacation!
I finally got into the 160's although barely. I haven't been this weight in about 7 years. So all of my clothes fit, but I probably need to get an updated wardrobe. When I was big I always tried to cover up, and layered button up shirts over t shirts, probably not the best look for someone MO. I did have a love affair with Chico's for a while and I still love those clothes and they now fit again. My job is not conducive to dressing up, I have to go out in the field and sometimes it's a messy construction site and muddy and dirty. My work attire is generally jeans and a t shirt or long sleeved t shirt and lightweight hoodie over it. I am generally cold so I've learned how to layer.
My boss just got back from hunting and it must not have gone well because he is in a fowl mood. He'll get over it, I just said something he didn't want to hear. Not my fault I was trying to do what I had been asked to do.
My roommate is supposed to have RNY surgery tomorrow but he still doesn't have a time.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!

I had to call after 4pm the night before to find out my "report" time....I don't even understand how that gets so last minute-y.

Emergency surgery and cancellations. I had mine postponed because the surgeon whet to an NFL playoff game. Did you ever here the one about the guy dies and goes to heaven and he ask who that big shot is and Saint Peter says oh that's God he just thinks he's a surgeon ?
HW 299 SW 290 CW 139 GW 140 2/08/2019 OPERATION: Surgical Hernia with excision of total surface area of 55 x 29 cm of abdominal skin.
Hey hey! I am so glad your cold is improving, Julia. What a doozy! I think a benefit of not going to an office (I work from home) I don't pick up all the nasty germs. The kids certainly do at school and I feel like one of the three is sick pretty much every weekend October - March. Ugh. We make them wash their hands a lot lol.
QOTD: so much! We got back from San Fran on Monday and we are off to a family wedding this weekend. Then, in three weeks we take the kids to London (their first time). And Kris' parents are coming for the week of Christmas, and I adore them. All good stuff!
My menu is a cluster because I haven't had time to go to the store and since we are leaving Friday and I have dinner plans out tonight, there's no point. Breakfast was leftover Chipotle bowl, lunch will likely be a can of tuna, snack will be string cheese, and dinner is out with a friend. No time for the gym today either :(
Have a fab day, everyone. I was getting a little lax on vitamins and I am back to a routine which feels really nice.

Good (morning?) everyone! Happy Hump Day!
QOTD - I'm really enjoying my 40s. I am looking forward to all the ways I am expanding my knowledge, to include yoga, spirituality, and so many other things.
Breakfast - Hot tea, fruit smoothie (frozen frui****er), crackers & celery with cream cheese
Snack - None, waiting for lunch
Lunch - Korean "beef" burrito at favorite vegetarian place locally, and french fries!
Dinner - Smoothie, frozen fruits/veggies with almond milk
Snack - probably cheese crackers with more peanut butter
Not really feeling the protein shakes, the fact that there's whey in them has me bothered so...I am definitely going to need to research and then invest in some vegan protein to supplement.
Other than that, that's all I got! Have a great day everyone!

I love your answer to QOTD! I am not afraid of aging because my 30s were better than my 20s and my 40s were better than my 30s...bring on the 50s! In a conversation with someone yesterday, I mentioned that I would be 50 in 2022 and they were scandalized that I would "out" myself that way, lol.

I will be the first to admit 40 hit me like a ton of bricks. But only briefly. Now? I am loving them. I feel like I know myself so much better, and I'm so much more patient and kind with myself. Everyday I wake up knowing that even if the day isn't easy, at least I got another one!
