What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
on 10/2/19 2:39 am
Morning! Happy Hump Day!
OMG, for the first time in over a month I woke up feeling... okay! Not 100% but not terrible, either! Maybe I will actually get over this cold, after all! WHOOO!
Accountability: Apparently my body knows I had all the calories I needed over the weekend, and has granted me a small pouch week :) I had 1/2 and apple and a package of cheese whisps all day, and threw away the salmon and yogurt I packed.
QOTD: What is the next big thing in your life that you are looking forward to? I am excited for the wedding of a good friend on December 28th! These are two widowed people who found each other and I am so happy for them. All of my favorite people will be there, too :)
I'm keeping my menu bare today, because: A.) Hoping for another small pouch today & B.) Food will be provided at the marathon meeting I have today, so if I need something I can grab it there.

Good morning everyone! The week is halfway over. Yay! Another short post from me before I head off to work.
QOTD: I'm looking forward to my best friend having her baby! She's being induced on November 3rd. She's having a little girl and it will be her first child. She is going to make such an amazing mother and I can't wait to meet that little girl!
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey, ham and cheese roll up
D: leftover salmon and veggies
Yesterday I got hungry and ended up having a L&F yogurt for an evening snack. Figured I'd try it frozen this time and wow....now I'm hooked! Lol. Other than that I stayed on plan.
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19

Squeee for little baby girls! My best work-friend had a girl a month ago and I haven't made it to see her yet, since I have been sick. I'm hoping my body will cooperate so I can see her this weekend. She is so pink and chubby and adorable... I can't wait to snuggle her!

Glad you are feeling on the mend JB!
I am falling apart. I did something to my back (going to the chiropractor this afternoon) and my shoulder is giving me trouble again (going to the orthopedic tomorrow.) Is this old age setting in?
Accountability: candy. I have got to stop giving in to the candy at school. Ugh, why do I have zero self-control?
QOTD: There are no up and coming big events but a smaller event is my Dad's birthday in a few weeks. My family will get together and even though my brothers don't speak to each other, we will all be under the same roof and there will be peace for the day.
B: scrambled egg, small naan bread, and a sprinkle of cheese (breakfast pizza) - couldn't eat it all so Max got a treat.
L: chopped salad with chicken thigh with berries
D: chicken thigh with peppers and onions
***Snack Table today at school* I swear all we do in that building is eat!
100+ ounces of water, vitamins and hoping to get a walk with Max after the chiropractor.

Sorry that your back is giving you trouble! Hope you feel better!
I gotta say, I am so happy to be out of the school setting (well, for lots of reasons, lol), but especially because of the copious amounts of food that are always present. It's so weird that food seems to be the only way to show appreciation in school buildings all over the country.

I need to change my mindset. I was able to resist it before and I can do it again but dang, it's so hard when it's in your face every day!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Sorry you're having so much pain. Hope the Chiropractor gives you relief I feel bad that you are faced with temptations at work. I fortunately have no problem avoiding the land minds at wor****ep a candy bowl in my office so when someone needs a chocolate or does me a favor I have a treat to reward them. Also if one of my co workers brings in a kid I like to have candy. My problem is the evening grazing.
