Good morning, everybody!
All of a sudden, its dark in the morning when I wake up. Our weather has been pretty warm and the trees haven't really started to turn colors yet, so it feels more like summer than fall, but the days are certainly getting shorter.
I went to an olympic weight lifting class last night. What I found out was that I have to make a lot of progress on flexibility. Particularly, my shoulders are really tight. I have some stretches that I need to do. It wasn't a surprising result.
In early today for a meeting with the boss.
QOTD: I wish that I could say a really young age, but I wasn't ready until about 5 years ago. I think that, at some point, I had to accept that eating and drinking too much was killing me and that I had to stop bargaining. It took me a long time to get to that point.
Breakfast: Sausage
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Pork
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

I hate these shorter days, too!!! I'm used to getting up around 6:00, and I don't like the fact it's now dark then! Also, I left yoga last night at 7:30 - dark then, too. UGH!!
re: flexibility - one word - YOGA. I take the gentle classes due to age, arthritis, and osteoporosis. They're still great for my flexibility and balance.

I don't think I have woken up when it is light out since 1997. I love being an early bird, but sometimes its too much.
Autumn seems to have hit kind of early here in MA! Lots of tress are fully turned to yellow and red. Its going to be a pretty fall here :)

quick one for me...
QOTD: I think I had the surgery in the right time frame- I wasn't ready earlier and now I have learned some tough lessons after, mainly about repairing and having a healthy relationship with food. I think I ate in a disordered way my entire life and surgery 'prep' didn't fix it. it isn't until now almost 4 years out that I may have FINALLY figured it out...
food plan today
coffee
water
extra water
chicken strips/green beans
cauli oatmeal
tuna/green beans
chicken meatballs /green beans--
notice a green bean theme here... need to eat them.
G'morning menu family,
My eyes feel like sand. Was up till 2:00 am working and now up again at 5:00 to cram in as much as I can. Good thing I telecommute so I can work from anywhere even when I'm a continent away, but I want to get as much paper off my desk as I can before I leave.
QOTD: I became obese after my first pregnancy, went down to overweight category and got pregnant again. After DS was born I kept losing weight to overweight category, got ****y and regained the weight. I honestly didn't think about surgery until my nutritionist suggested it to me. In short I think I did it at the right time in order for me to follow the rules and not get ****y.
Accountability: good
My meals for the day:
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Costco chicken skewers
- Chicken meatballs
- Greek yogurt or parm cheese
Have a great Tue, everyone.

Sheila, I think you do IF, right? Do you drink your coffee black or with cream? I have a (nonWLS) friend who does it but says she can have cream in her coffee. I'm considering giving it a go.

They call it dirty fasting. It's up to you, if you can stomach the black coffee more power to you. I can't! I have my sf syrup in it and even a little bit of PP as a creamer. A carton of PP lasts me 2-3 days to give you an idea how much I put in there. I drink about three mugs of coffee by lunch time. The whole idea is to skip one meal.

Mornin' All!
adult education class this morning, Mah Jongg this afternoon. Plus dealing with some things that need to be dealt with before I leave on my trip (e.g., we got a new credit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees. I THINK I got all my automatic payments switched over last night, but I need to go through my account to make sure. And visit at least one place in person to do the switchover. Plus I need to go to the cell phone store and ask about what to do with my phone while abroad. I do not want phone calls or text messages coming through while I'm gone. Internet is OK since we'll have wireless at most of the places we're staying at (and yes - I have WhatsApp)).
accountability was good yesterday
QOTD: I had surgery at age 55. I often say I wish I'd have had it years ago, but I don't think I was in the right frame of mind for it. I don't think I would have been nearly as successful had I not been mentally ready for it. I'm also glad I didn't have it in my 20s since the surgeries they offered back then have been abandoned due to major problems.
4 years 3 months out:
B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and homemade fruit compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: half a turkey sandwich
AS: at Mah Jongg until 4:00 -- so I'll take a protein bar just in case
D: Beyond Sausage with sauerkraut in a Flat Out Fold It wrap
have a great day, all!

Do you use an iPhone? I set mine on cellular data and cellular roaming off, but WiFi calling on. Works great and easy to turn everything back on if I need to. I also reset my cellular data settings at the start of the trip, take a screenshot of it then and then when I get home - just in case. My provider is AT&T and I am signed up for their $10/per 24 hours of talk/text/data internationally so that's the automatic charge if I do have to use it while abroad.
