What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning everyone! Happy October! I can't believe how quickly September flew by, and yet my epic, amazing, fun summer also feels like it was a million years ago... I am just looking forward to a day when I wake up without a cold!
Accountability: Super small pouch day, yay...plus lots of extra walking around Boston from school to school. It was a gorgeous fall day for taking a long walk.
QOTD: If you had it to do over again, what age would you have had surgery, vs when you actually had it? I had the Lapband when I was 34, and I guess it was the right time... I certainly wish I had the chance to be thinner in my 20s, but I was really ready when I was 34, and I was a very compliant rules follower. I think if I had done it sooner, I might not have been as successful.
Again, no tortilla with dinner, so carbs are lower. Also, please cross your fingers for me. I have never swallowed salmon without getting stuck, but for some stupid reason I bought a package of cold cooked salmon this week. I am going to take it super slow and pray this goes down!
Exercise: If I don't get a walk in due to rain, I vow to hit the elliptical this evening.
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Early bird this morning.
I saw Judy! today. I loved it. Favorite of the year. Don't read anything. It's going to go wide release next week. Bonus..my first senior discount.
I've had a lot of tomato soup today. Also some chicken. Choking down fluids for the day.
I had my surgery at the perfect time to slim down for a kidney transplant.
My life is busier with the boy off to college. His roommate is neat and tidy. The vacuum has already been out twice. I am loving this from afar.
I love the Costco chicken street tacos. I think I will put that on the list for this week's trip.
QOTD: I think I wouldn't change anything about when I had my surgeries. I had lapband in my mid-thirties and then rny when I was 48. I'm in a better headspace now compared to then.
B: scrambled egg, a sprinkle of cheese on a small naan bread
L: 3 ounces ever roast chicken and raspberries/blackberries
D: chicken thigh and roast veggies
S: Honeycrisp (I didn't eat it yesterday)
Lots of water, vitamins and a walk with Max after I get home.
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Good morning everyone. This will be a super quick post before heading into work.
QOTD: I wish I would have gotten the surgery in my early twenties when I was still on my parents insurance. That's when my mom mentioned it to me and while I so wanted to lose weight and get down to a normal size, I was scared to death of the surgery and just wasn't mentally prepared. I wasn't fully ready until my early thirties, but had to wait because of insurance issues. However, I believe everything happens for a reason and I think I had the surgery at exactly the right time for me.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey and ham w/cheese roll up
D: baked salmon & veggies
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Good Morning! JB- I hope that you continue to feel better. John stayed in bed all day yesterday so I'm hoping he wakes up feeling tons better today and Emily seems to be doing okay as long as she stays on cold meds.
Accountability: pretty good
QOTD: Maybe right after I had Emily.
TSS: 5 years 1 month
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, 1/2 an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: Buddig turkey, pork rinds, and carbmaster yogurt
D: Grilled chicken and Alfredo sauce on top of Shiraraki noodles, 1/2 low carb lavash toasted with garlic and cheese, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Low carb pita with SF jelly and butter, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and cup fiber cereal
E: 6.25 mile run and 40 mins elliptical (going to try for some extra run time).
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1412 Protein:136 Carbs:99 Fat:59
Have a great one!
Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I will head out in a bit for our first walk and will do several more too. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday. Had a small pouch day so that was good. QOTD I think I had my surgery at just the right time because I knew I had to follow the rules and change so I did. Weight today is 121.2. Here's the food plan for the day B 3 protein pancakes with sugar free syrup L 4 oz roast beef and cheese D 4 oz grilled shrimp S 3 peanut butter crackers if needed(other 3 for Lily of course)! Have a wonderful day full of smart choices! Have to share some wedding photos too!
