What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning and happy monday. I'm nowhere near ready for this week. I ran my first 10k since last November yesterday. it's the first time I've run since February. It was pretty much a mistake. It's a crazy hilly course and now every single muscle in my body hurts. Maybe I should have run a few miles before yesterday to prep. Ugh. also, the Jewish High Holidays started last night. I typically do not work the holidays, but with the new job (things are not going amazingly well) I figured I needed to be here. I told my boss that i was unavailable yesterday and yet she was emailing to talk about a case. I definitely do NOT work on Yom Kippur (the day of atonement), but I can't imagine that's going to go over well. Anyway, food choices were not the best yesterday, but today is another day.
QOTD: Honestly, I have no idea. I watched the news last night, but there was a high speed chase and the news was dominated by that. Hmmmm, the Dodgers winning 106 games, the Rams losing and a discussion re whether the Clippers or the Lakers are more likely to make it to the NBA championship. That's all I've got.
My plan:
B: Costco egg bite
L: tuna salad and a 1/4 c. kugel (I should most definitely NOT eat this because of the noodles, but I'm a sucker for Jewish cooking and I make an AMAZING kugel)
D: steak and salad
S: latte with organic high protein milk and 1/2 an apple if I force myself to go to the gym
Yay for the 10K! I can imagine the soreness if you just jumped into it but kudos for doing it. I would have chickened out.

thanks! The soreness is unreal. It was to benefit the LA Dodgers Foundation and is at and around Dodger Stadium. The area is crazy hilly. Miles 2 and 6 were straight uphill. I ended up power walking those as I swear it took me less time than running them. The downhills allowed me to pick up speed but my shins are screaming today. Days like this I miss not being able to have NSAIDs!!
That's what I call a WOG, I jog the downhills and flats and walk the uphills, hence a WOG! I don't think I can ever run uphill.

Good morning~I am ready for another week! I do enjoy having time off, but I do much better on a busy schedule head-wise - I'm more focused. Went to Target yesterday to get a dog collar and ended up spending $175.00 and it all fit in ONE bag. I keep reviewing the receipt, but it's correct. DANG - that's crazy!
QOTD - A car crash, a power outage, HS principle resigns...nothing exciting today!
Accountability - Good! Craving salt though - does that mean anything?
