Whats on your Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 9/29/19 4:06 am
Good Morning, weekend Menu Fam! Hope everyone had a great Saturday.
I had a nice time hanging out at my parent's house while they are away. It is nice and quiet and I had fun hanging out with their kitty. They've had someone come in and feed her and pet her, but she is definitely lonely. She "talked" the whole time I've been here, and hasn't been more than an inch away from my face the whole time. It's going to be hard to leave her tonight!
Accountability: Meh. I forgot to pack food! ...And my parents have been gone for a few weeks, so there is nothing fresh here. I definitely ate some crackers when I got here, before I went to get food last night. I went for a great nature walk, but wasn't up for the run I wanted to do, after all. This cold is still lingering and I really just can't breathe well enough to run, yet.
QOTD: How far do you live from where you grew up? Until I met Grim, I was about 20 minutes away, about 3 towns over. Now we live about an hour and a half away in a completely different part of the state.
I don't have a full menu planned, yet... I got food for dinner last night, but nothing else. I need to get out first thing this morning and get food for today and the rest of the week. But here is a rough plan for the start of the day:
B: Black Coffee (I took the last K cup!)
B2: More coffee from Starbucks (with almond milk) & EggWhite Bites
L: Chicken Caesar salad
D: ??
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)

Up early here today. We survived the wedding and it was beautiful. We didn't stay till 11:30 like Dani,Rudy and their college friends. Too old for that. Dani's aunts were nice but her mom is a control freak and seems to drink a lot. Dani put her foot down at the rehearsal and told her that it was not her wedding and to stay out of it.They wrote their own vows and they both made me cry. An overcast day here in Illinois and it rained hard all night. When Miss Lily is ready in a few minutes we'll head out for a walk. We'll do another tonight at the school by the distribution center. After we help put chairs and tables away in a bit we'll head 12 miles south to Chatham for at least a week to work there. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 121.4 today. Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3c earnest eats hot cereal L 4oz deli chicken and cheese D 4 oz grilled shrimp S probably not needed.QOTD about 35 miles. Hubby and I would not have worked in high school as our schools were bitter sports rivals. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices
Good morning, everybody!
Great picture, JB. It sounds like Marilyn and my son are having a great time in Colorado and really liked the school that they visited. I don't know whether it has moved into first place or not. It sounds like they did a really good job with the tour, it was 8 hours and very comprehensive. Marilyn suggested that he may want to go back to Utah and do an engineering specific tour. That would be the third visit to Utah. She did suggest that he should wait until he was accepted before we paid for another trip to Park City.
The dinner was fine. I'm glad I was there to honor our retiring partners. Its just such an ordeal to drive into the City at night. Plus I had no date. I will see if I can post a picture. I have to get it out of text and drag it onto my desktop, I think.
Its pouring rain here, so maybe a low key day of football.
QOTD: We are about 1000 miles from where I grew up in Boston. You would think it was a million based on the whining that I heard anytime I suggested that we drive to Boston instead of fly.
Breakfast: Chili
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Chili
snack: Light and Fit
Dinner: TBD - family will be home
Have a greatly, all!

I love the cat picture and that you are keeping her from being lonely. When I have to be gone more than a few hours, I have a friend who comes over and keeps my Gracie company. Even though she is twelve and spends most of her life asleep, she wants me in the house with her.
If there was a prize for living close to where I grew up, I would win. I currently live 1.4 miles from the hospital where I was born and 1.8 miles from the house where I grew up. I have never lived more than 3 miles from the house I was raised in.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Morning everyone! This weekend is flying by! How come the work week can't fly by this quickly! Lol. I'm so excited because us girls of the family (my mom, her three sisters, my female cousin and I) are planning a girls trip to the Biltmore estate for their Christmas candlelight tour. I haven't been there since I was sixteen and I had a wonderful time then so I'm definitely looking forward to it. Also, just because it's been so long since the family has taken a trip together....probably since I was a child. So it's long overdue!
QOTD: I only live about 20-30 minutes away from where I grew up in the next town over. My parents still live there in the same house they built when they got married and the house my brother and I grew up in. It's always nice going back because it's always a stroll down memory lane. My mom has pictures everywhere of us as children and if I go and spend the night I get to sleep in my old bedroom which is still painted the same shade of plum I picked out when I was a teenager. Lol. All of my cat posters are even still hanging up. It's like I never left. lol
B: premier shake (to my horror I realized I forgot to put some more in the fridge so I had to pop one in the freezer this morning.)
B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer
L: maybe a protein bar or a L&F yogurt
D: maybe the sushi I didn't get yesterday
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Mornin' Everyone!
another drive-by since we're leaving in a few to meet the moms for coffee....
good day yesterday in Milwaukee. Calories were fine, although not the best choices. Lots of walking.
QOTD: I spent my first 16 years in and around Cleveland, Ohio, so eight hours from here. Then we moved to Raleigh, NC, so probably 16 hours (??)
4 years 3 months out:
B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce, coffee with half & half
MS: more coffee with half & half
L: salad with diced turkey and light dressing
AS: L&F yogurt
D: either half a Beyond Burger with thin "bun" or a Beyond Sausage in a Flat Out Flip It
ex: yoga
have a great day, everyone!
