What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Friday! So happy to see the end of this week...just need to make it through another 8 hours or so.
Had a great dinner with my girl gang last night, these ladies are good for my soul!
Nothing too big planned for the weekend except brunch with a friend on Sunday to hear all about her trip to Africa and then to the local amazing bookstore. Another friend is out of town and is worried about her kitty and seems like it's having a reaction to it's shots so I offered to go stay over there for the weekend if she wants someone to stay with the kitty.
qotd - I like a good Halloween costume! I'm looking forward to candy hand out this year because we have so many kids in this neighborhood.
menu today is a bit up in the air, all day meeting, working in a temp office, no idea what the fridge options are.
Check out my new roller skates! I'm channeling my inner SparkleKitty and I HAD SO MUCH FUN! I did find out that my entire neighborhood has a slight slope and the two little girls at the park think my skates look pretty but I should have gotten rollerblades, lol.

Love this! And love the reactions from the kids, haha.
Facebook reminded me of this pic the other day. Me & my neighbor were captured in the local paper, roller-skating in the park (1983, I think) :) Like my rolled up jeans? I am a year older than the other girl, btw. Haha.

Morning all and TGIF! Quick post as I'm running late. Didn't get to go to bed until 1am and then around 2:30am I get woken up because the power goes out. Stays out for a little over two hours so of course I couldn't sleep. So I maybe got 2 hours of sleep and now I'm grumpy. Now I get to go fight the morning traffic. Yay! I see lots of coffee in my future.
QOTD: I love Halloween so much, but haven't dressed up since I was a kid. I'd love to, but don't really have any Halloween parties to go to and don't really have any friends who are into it that much.
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda
L: turkey and cheese roll up
D: I have no clue???

Mornin'!
another drive-by since I have to pick up an elderly friend in a few minutes and take her to a day-long workshop on aging. Then I have to go to my mother's because she called last night frantic because her computer has a virus. Ugh. And I'll have to read up first on how to get rid of the thing. At least she didn't call 1-800-IMA-FRAUD like my mother-in-law did (and pay them $200 to do nothing...). If I can't fix it, then we'll pay $200 to get a local tech out there to actually fix the thing.
I'm going to try to avoid calcium carbonate antacids today (Tums and the like) because they make me bloat. I'll take a couple varieties of the papaya enzyme type and hope that they work. I'll avoid anything acidic just in case... Too bad both PPIs AND H2 blockers are now problematic. At least my reflux isn't horrible, but...
accountability was OK yesterday - and I did a lot of walking
QOTD: I'm not into Halloween at all anymore. In fact, most years we go out to dinner to avoid having to answer the door. I know - I'm a Scrooge. But it's also good to not have all that candy around. That's my official excuse...
I have no idea what I'm having today since I know lunch is provided at this workshop. I don't know about breakfast, but I'll take a protein bar just in case. Even if they provide breakfast, it's likely to be something like donuts. Nope.
4 years 3 months out:
B: probably a protein bar, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: ?? Some kind of sandwich, I'm guessing
AS: I'll take another protein bar in case I need something
D: half a Beyond Burger if I'm OK calorie-wise by then. If not, deli turkey slices. Or a salad with diced deli turkey and light dressing
have a great day, everyone!!

Ugh, my mom almost got taken in a ridiculous scam when she forgot her FB password (and was too embarrassed to ask me how to recover it) somehow ended up talking to someone in India who was demanding large sums of money from her. Thankfully she got suspicious, but they called back for weeks trying to guilt her and threaten her. People are the worst.

My mom called me at work the other day to ask if I'd paid the Water and Power bill because she got a call that they were going to disconnect my service if I didn't pay my "balance" immediately. I got super mad, because I spent 45 min on the phone with the DWP the day before arranging a payment schedule (long story, but I had a pipe break under my house and didn't know about it until i got a $5,000 bill . . . for a 2 month period. They're investigating, but in the meantime, I have to pay and keep my account current, hence the payment plan). Anyway, i called the number she gave me, got a person who told me I needed to pay the balance. I screamed a bit and asked for a supervisor. I was "transferred" and tried to calmly explain about the payment plan, etc. The guy was like "No, you need to pay. You can make a $500.00 "downpayment" I started screaming again and he hung up. Called back, rinse and repeat. It was on call 3 that I thought "scam?" I called the regular DWP line and as soon as that call went through I was sure it was a scam. They had me talk to the fraud unit and asked if they could send the report to law enforcement. Ummmm yes.
After I got off the phone with them, I called the scammer line back and pretended to play along. "I'm so sorry I was upset, of course I understand that I need to pay. How would you like the money?' At that point I told him he could get it from the LAPD and FBI, who have been notified. Scammer: "Ma'am, ma'am, let me stop you right there. Do you think I give a f**K who you called." Me: "Do you think i give two f**ks if you care? Your scamming days are numbered assh**e!"
My scamming story.
