What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning! Happy Friday-yay! JB- I hope that you have a nice restful weekend. We might go to a small fair in one of the small cities about an hour away since the weather should be perfect to be out and about. It's a very small fair but we would rather go to that one then the ones that starts here next week. Today is my sister's birthday so I hope to meet up for coffee or something this weekend.

Happy Fri-Yay!
I think that I have Halloween envy. We have a lot of houses in our neighborhood that go all out decorating for Halloween and I've always wanted to be one of those. But I can't quite seem to make it work. We have an inflatable spider that we manage to get out of the basement most years and we usually do pumpkins, but we've never been one of the houses that the kids all look forward to. The entire holiday leaves me feeling vaguely inadequate.
One of these years I just want to go full Claire Dunphy on them. And, for the record, that's completely unrelated to my being smitten by Julie Bowen.
I had a GhostBusters costume that I usually wore to hand out the candy to the children and I thought that was a good one. I will have to get something different this year.
One year I was at the Halloween store and I ran into one of our former babysitters. She was looking at ****ty nurse costumes. Awkward. And if you are wondering, Marilyn is a "no" on ****ty anything costumes.
We don't go to the halloween store much anymore because DD has declared them trash. She also considers all large format wines to be tra****ry to explain to her that a Double Magnum of Opus One is not, in fact, trash, but she won't listen.
Marilyn and my oldest son are going out to Colorado to look at colleges this weekend, so me and my youngest son are on our own. He will be good for my accountability because he is a very healthy eater now. Marilyn is making chili before she leaves, so that will keep us fed for the weekend.
Picture is from our trip to Florida last weekend.

Chaffle experiment #3: Fake French Toast = B-
I think the base was too eggy for this one. I am not sure if it would have been better if I added some almond flour or if I used a different cheese.
But the sugar free cinnamon sugar that I found on Amazon is surprisingly good!
Recipe I used:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c Trader Joe's Shredded 3 Cheese Blend
- 1 pat butter
- San Sucre brand Sugar Free Cinnamon Sugar
