I am wondering if anyone else here struggled to drink anything their first week. I can barely get a few sips in here and there and have the occasional half cup of juice/water mix.

People find struggle. I really think if this is the case you should call your surgeon's office so they can help you get more in and determine the causes and if need be treat any dehydration

A little experimenting may help. Some people find it easier to drink warm/hot drinks, some find cold drinks easier. Different kinds of liquids may be easier for you to drink.

I had mine August 23rd, I had extreme difficulty getting all my fluids in! My surgeon told me to take very small sips and rest between! The nurses were pushing me and I was vomiting remember sip, sip, sip do your best I'm 5 weeks out still struggling but it's much better. Still trying to get those 64 ounces in. Good luck

I am fine with water now. I also have diluted cranberry and apply juice. I tried putting lemon wedges in water for some flavour, but I started sweating after a few sips. I'll take that as a hint. All in all I am looking forward to Saturday when I can actually eat some oatmeal.
