What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
on 9/21/19 3:08 am
This pic will be an actual representation of me later today. I am still super sick and can already tell that I won't have have any will-power, but I also don't have any food in the house...so I need to brave the aisles of Trader Joe's and pray that bread and candy don't just jump into my cart.
Accountability: Fine. I slept all day and barely ate, but barely moved, either.
QOTD: Do you wear glasses or contacts? I have an eye appointment first thing this morning, which is great, because I am becoming increasingly more blind every day. I have always had better than 20/20 vision, but in the last year, my eyesight deteriorated rapidly. I am sure that my first pair of glasses will be progressives because I can no longer see near or far!
I don't have a fully fleshed out menu, yet since I don't have groceries, yet, but this is my guess:
B: Protein Coffee
S: 1 Costco Egg Bite
L: Chaffle Pizza (Chaffles base with sauce, cheese & pepperoni)
S: 1/4 c almonds and 1 babybel cheese
D: Shrimp and Pepper/Onion stir-fry
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Good morning, everybody!
I don't know why I wake up so early on the weekends, it would be nice to sleep in like everybody else. Oh, well I guess it gives me more time to drink coffee.
JB, I hope you are feeling better today. Great pictures yesterday, the look of love on Grim's face as he gazed at into the window at those meats cracked me up.
Dinner is at the hockey game tonight. The concession stands are not usually 100% up and running in the pre-season, so who knows what I will get. Hoping for a meatball sandwich
QOTD: I wear reading glasses only, but every year I need them more and more. I always forget to bring them with me to places, so I am one of those guys that you see in restaurants holding the menu as far away from my face as possible.
Breakfast: Chaffles!
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Steak
Snack: Light and Fit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great Day, all!

I know-he has a lot of outward affection for a good cut of meat, haha...
Have you discovered the magnifier app on the phone? Great for menus!

Mornin' All!
well the social last night was fun, and MIL actually came (YAY!), and better yet, she had a good time (double YAY!). I ate WAY too much food, though. The pumpkin/bran bread turned out much better than I expected (I "tested" it before we left - and ate way too much of it), then I had one plateful of food at that party, but they weren't very healthy choices - other than the shrimp. So I ended up taking in....ugh....500 extra calories yesterday. Luckily I had a great week otherwise - and I'm planning on a great week again this week - so hopefully not much harm done. Still...
I'm headed to yoga at 7:30 and we're meeting MIL at 10:30. Not sure what we're doing, though.
QOTD: I first needed glasses for distance when I was around 30 - but I mostly wore them just for driving. By my early- to mid-40s, I needed them for reading, too. I HATED my first pair of bifocals and went back to just wearing glasses for distance (and holding things close to my face, if necessary, to read them). Anyway, my eyesight gradually got worse - in both depts - but I still don't wear glasses all the time. Driving, of course - and sometimes other times when needed - like watching movies or seeing PowerPoint presentations. I got my second pair of bifocals this past summer - now called "progressives" - because the optometrist - plus the guy at the glasses store - told me they've improved tremendously since I last I had them several years ago. And they were right - they don't bother me at all anymore!
4 years 3 months out:
B: I may just grab a protein bar since I have to leave for yoga in like five minutes
MS: my usual pancakes (after yoga?)
L: not sure - we'll be out with MIL. Something light for sure - and I"ll take a protein bar with me just in case the choices aren't too good....
AS: ??
D: probably salad with diced turkey
have a great day, all!
Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I have 3.4 miles in already een though we got a little bit wet. We'll do another mile after supper too. Plans include laundry today. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 121.4 today. Here's the food plan for the day B 2/3c earnest eats hot cereal L 4oz chicken salad D 4 oz onion burger with cheese no bun S if needed sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. QOTD I am blind without my glasses. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend thus far! I'm just kind of winging my menu today as I don't have anything planned out. Also just been feeling yucky. (It's that lovely time of month again.). I swear it seems like after surgery the bloating and cramps are ten times worse or maybe it's all in my head. I definitely have more regular periods now though. Sorry for TMI! So yeah, not much of an appetite today so we shall see...
QOTD: I am nearsighted so I wear glasses 24/7....well except for when I'm sleeping obviously. Lol. I am so blind without them! I wish I could wear contacts, but my eye doctor said they wouldn't be good for me since I have severely dry eyes. I also can't fathom trying to put something in my eye like that! It's difficult enough trying to put drops in my eyes!
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda and sugar free creamer
L: maybe a L&F yogurt???
D: ??? Maybe a tuna pouch or maybe I'll make a chaffle. Not really sure yet.
